That was a lot to read - thanks!
Interesting that he has already finished his next album. Perhaps he should tell Gabriel how that works
Nice details about the album creation process!

Fascinating ... I like those old interview and docu snippets. Thx for sharing!
happy for those in Toronto ... but patiently waiting for continental European shows
Nuryery Cryme and Selling from the old days,
Wind & Wuthering and then We Can't Dance
and Platinum Collection. Simple, but really a nice idea.
Started with the Invisible touch tour and have seen them on every tour since then. Wish I could have been at a Mama tour gig or 76/77 show.
Earlier shows would also be something, but thanks to The Musical Box I kind of had the experience how that might have been.
I Grieve is my favorite
always liked Growing Up as well
third one is a tough choice. Either Darkness or Sky Blue. I picked Sky Blue ...
Also looking forward to reading this ... and waiting patiently (can imagine how much work it is to put this all together)
11 points from me ...
I like Congo (the album version) and I also think Ray was NOT the wrong choice. Longdon’s voice is, in my opinion, a bit thin and less characteristic.
Problem was they didn’t take it any further and never made a real band album with the new line up. Ray came in late, the drummer wasn’t clear etc.
Don't have a problem with backup singers. Phil does it on his solo tours as well so probably it gives him a bit more freedom to sing the Genesis stuff? The pressure for him is surely not as big as it was on previous tours.
Living forever also in my top 3
then Fading lights and Dreaming while you sleep
a new video has surfaced from 1978, this time Vienna and the track "The lamb lies down on broadway"
great stuff!
Hmmm
They were both vocalists on the hit single “Stuff like that” by Quincy Jones.
years later Phil also sang a song on a Quincy Jones album...
I didn’t pick The Lamb. I always thought it was too long. Perhaps a 70 minute version would have made it in my top 3 or 5.
Great stuff!
there’s also another interview online here
both are great and Nic seems to be a nice guy ...
(And also pretty grown up now)
The shows in Europe are still first.
I believe he meant continental European shows. Does surprise me as well, actually!
by the way - the trailer in Columbus is a bit different. It also contains Misunderstanding
Ohhhhhh
Probably a good reason to visit family and friends, so maybe Montreal. Will decide later this year...
No, this is not our Ant.
He would also promote such a release in his website and social media
my diary has reminded me that off to the 02 tonight to see the boys😄. Looking forward to it....see you all at the bar and wait for the opening strains of the mellotron to open the show with Watcher !
LOL ... well, sad, isn't it?
Let's hope this tour will happen and we can all enjoy the show ... maybe for the very last time!
Great version, thx. And impressive what Morse does (keys / vocals)!
I was thinking the other day - on which tracks did Daryl play lead guitar during the Genesis tours, excluding the (obvious) Hackett-era songs.
two track come to my mind:
The Knife (?)
Jesus He Knows Me (1992)
any further tracks?
