Farm rehearsals (without Daryl) for this are on the 2001 Songbook dvd extra's.
really? I never noticed that. I was always wondering why they were doing this stuff on the Songbook DVD

anyone noticed both Phil and Peter have released their last album (not talking bout soundtracks etc) with new music in 2002?
True
But a new Collins album seems more unlikely than a new Gabriel record. At least we know that Gabriel has been working on new stuff for years ...
That is... quite the cover.
was my first thought as well. Imagine you work for the record company and someone comes up with that cover image. I mean ... really?
71, multi millionaire - the last thing I'd be doing would be work or trying to please strangers.
you’ve got a point here - but then again, he always did stuff and worked on things we never would have guessed. I also think he wouldn’t do a real concept album like The Lamb, but I am also sure that a new album, if there is one, will not just be a collection of tracks
Thank you for this interesting review! I never heard of Nick before but this review (e.g. similarities with Brand X etc) made me curious.
Seems that Steve is also a fan.
Thanks. Looks like a nice addition to my collection
Jokes aside ...
Is that an option for Peter, doing a proper concept album? I would welcome such an idea.
Thanks
I quite enjoy this! I didn’t know Brother bear was also done in Japanese.
nevertheless there’s of course not a lot new stuff for hardcore fans
I always wondered why they didn't put out Plays live remastered as well back in 2003 (?). They only did Highlights. Good they finally made it widely available!
Hang in long enough
Colours
I wish It would rain down
I also like Saturday night .... and All of my life
But I find That's just the way ... and Do you remember rather boring.
Which way the wind blows
God if I saw her now

I am not the biggest fan of Ant's music, but this album is just fantastic!
Interesting, thanks for posting. I thought it was more a perspective piece on the band though, it would be cool to have a more in depth 'new' review of the album itself. Maybe by a music reviewer who's never heard it... Like those kids watching in the air tonight.
would that be “in depth” then? For me that’s a different concept (what you suggest). In depth reviews can only be written by people who know a lot of details and have some insights
Really? I always thought touring was completely out of question for Ant? Doesn’t make much sense to me. I never read anywhere that he got over his stage fright?
Thanks for posting this.
Interesting - but I will pass. The books are quite expensive, let alone shipping to Europe. Nevertheless, I Hope to get one of those one day...
PS: the Nick Beggs photo is great!!!
Looking forward to reading this issue of RC. They do a good job most of the time.
Nobody has to buy it, but I am sure a lot will enjoy!
I’m afraid we all have to lower our expectations. The show will only be two hours long, which is 20-25 minutes less than last time. They may throw in three or four tracks they haven’t played last time - but seriously ... apocalypse? No! Watcher? No!
Duchess is realistic, That’s All maybe but even Squonk I find highly unlikely (sadly)
I only have Checking Out Of London and enjoyed that a lot. Sadly, can’t find my copy anymore. Any idea if this will be made available again any time soon?
wow - goosebumps!!!
I didn’t expect this to be that good. Thanks for sharing
13th February...
What a day in Genesis History! I wasn’t aware Genesis have released their first album without Peter on his birthday!
And then imagine, only 5 years later Phil released his solo album. 5 years!!! Just think about what happened 5 years ago.... these days things seem
to evolve slower...
Very interesting - thanks for sharing
I am not surprised they had less of a friendship and more of a professional business relation.
But I was surprised he calls Steve a friend!
Also, it’s good that Chester has spoken openly about what happened with him and Phil (back in 2010, wasn’t aware that the Motown shows ended their work together).
To be honest I got a bit bored to read the rumors about this. On the other hand, I always thought it was a “natural ending”, i.e. Chester didn’t want to you anymore and Phil wanted his son on the drums...
Now I know there’s another reason.
Apart from that, this interview is almost some kind of biography! Just a stunning article!
