I am a bit surprised they changed the set for North America - I thought they would have sticked to the regular set from the UK. We all know they didn't do Jesus he knows me and Hold on my heart in the end, although it was rehearsed and also printed on shirts. Abacab was also done during rehearsals, so Misunderstanding was a little surprise. Nevertheless, I expect Duchess to be back in the set in Europe 2022 - or maybe Abacab? Who knows ... But I don't think they will do Misunderstanding in Europe.

I like Nic's drumming, but of course he only plays stuff from his dad (apart from his own band, which is obviously not relevant for the nomination), so I assume he won't win.
-
Not sure ... he didn't add much to it, so it's rather boring, in my opinion.

Any news from Liverpool? Mike's birthday was twi days ago, I can imagine something happened during the show.
-
The shows won't last a lot more than 2hours - Mike said early on that two hours in enough.

I watched this again after I saw the Last Domino? documentary. What a different time that was!
And early during this tour, Phil sang differently:

Ok, the setlist prediction was not really difficult. From his solo stuff, I was hoping to hear different stuff than Every Day or Clocks (which he has played quite regularly), i.e. The Steppes, Icarus Ascending or even something like Cell 151 or Camino Royale.

still hope they will do mainland Europe in 2022. For me it doesn't feel right to travel right now.

I have the broadcasts from Hanover and Earl's Court, both are terrific shows. This was a great tour, though I think I prefer 1982, 1990 and 1997 as far as live Phil goes.
Interestingly, Phil started the tour doing "I Don't Care Anymore" in the same sort of blues shuffle arrangement he did it in for the MTV Unplugged special; this is the version that opens the Hanover broadcast. By the Earl's Court show, which was performed on my fourth birthday, he's reverted back to the original arrangement in a lower key.
are you sure? I always thought the Unplugged arrangement was only played there and during a couple of shows afterwards (i.e. Hanover)

Ant has never actually owned or used a Prophet V - the synths he played on Slow Waves, Soft Stars are the Roland Jupiter 8, Casio CZ5000, ARP 2600 and the Polymoog.
Jonathan Dann - just want to thank you for providing first hand info on some questions every now and then. Much appreciated!

I also like the live recordings a lot, Phil was still a beginner as a singer and frontman and you can hear this…
Was too young to attend any of the shows, unfortunately.

The 2007 set list was quite astonishing, keeping in mind they played in stadiums and large arenas. Invisible touch probably got a little too much attention, but overall it was a great set list for the sort off “very last time” shows of the trio formation.
Well…

The new track is great! Looking forward to hearing the whole album. Will also buy the deluxe version, I have all the surround versions so this won’t be an exception.
By the way; is anyone trying to get all the different vinyl versions?
-
The new compilation is nothing to worry about. Don’t know why some fan discuss about this for days. Just don’t buy it. Or do if you want.
The Farm Tapes thing is indeed frustrating. I believe Mike said a while ago in one of the interviews that this project is no longer … sad!

But Seriously lacks a bit of power, maybe bass? It aged quite well, but regarding the sound I’d prefer his older albums. The songs are, imo, better than on NJR

How did you find this info out, out of interest?
Did he give any other clues?Sorry, I obviously forgot to add the link
Daryl was interviewed by Greg Koch, and he mentions the -spoiler- bit some 11 minutes into the recording:

(This is, at least, where I found the information).
…. And that’s the one. Thanks

Have received my copy yesterday and will start listening this evening
a strong album, quite a few different styles and some familiar sounds. And a surprising Beatles cover.
