That is exciting news about BBC4 next Friday night.
I get so exasperated about endless programmes about Queen and Abba on a Friday night. Admittedly those bands are usually on BBC2 or Ch5.
I will have to record them next Friday because I am attending a Marillion concert down at Hammersmith.
Very excited about 5CD box set. I had forgotten that the 1987 IT concert was live on Radio 1. It would be sensible for the first Genesis box set to be 1970 to 1980, including Knebworth and Lyceum.
Then they could do another one if demand is as massive as I think it will be.
I have been dreaming about this since I was a child when I clutched the Friday Rock Show recording on a C90 tape and it cut off in the middle of 'Follow you Follow me.'

I apologise about Earls Court 1977.
That is Nicky Horne introducing it.
-
I am listening to this atm.
It is excellent, very delicate and evocative.
-
The BBC also broadcast the 1975 Lamb show from Wembley Arena in a 60 minute set. It would be good if the BBC could dig up the whole concert.
Knebworth '78 Was that the BBC?
Earls Court '77. Was that the BBC? My version has Bob Harris presenting it.

Many too many
You might recall

The cartoon 'Albert' from Duke might be visually unique.

For some reason I am a massive fan of 'Hold your fire'.
I bought the cassette at the time and still play it today.
Love 'The mission' and 'Time stand still'.
But the whole album stands over time.
It is an album of two sides.

I am a bit cross here because about 10 years ago on my old laptop I had the list.
I remember being very excited by 'Drury Lane 1973'.
Someone here should have the original list.
-
There is a comprehensive list of recordings that Genesis do possess.
They were discovered in a case at 'The Farm'.
This dates from 1973 onwards. It is somewhere on this forum.
I remember seeing it a few years ago.

Grimly this 'eating and drinking' culture is all UK arena shows now.
They let you take your drinks to your seat and you can eat your cheeseburger there too.
Stella Artois at the O2 costs £7 and cheeseburger and chips costs £17.
At the door, before you come in, the kind doorman will take away any plastic drinks.
It is an enormous rip off.

My perfection moment is the original Shrine bootleg of...
Lillywhite Lilith followed by The Waiting Room followed by Supernatural Anaesthetist.
Lillywhite has that buzzy feedback after 20 seconds. PCs off kilter snare drum on the closing bars of Lillywhite. I have got myself going so I am about to hunt for the version on Spotify.
But remember folks... Alas, the cleaned up version is NOTHING compared to the buzzy bootleg.

There is a very familiar recording right at the beginning of Necam too.
-
Well there you go,
Thank you for clarifying all that.
At least it got us all finding the complete answer.
-
And just to complete my exciting question.
The fairground organ is heard at the beginning of 'Voice of Necam' straight after 'Please don't touch'.
Thank you.
Good question by the way.

It is the album...
Please don't touch!
