I'd like this CD, but charging $14.95 U.S. for shipping to Canada is over the top. Ends up being about $36 CDN, that's pretty steep for one CD.

Here in Canada, I never once saw that album in record stores even back when it was a new release.
Even after I shifted to purchasing most of my CDs online, Strictly Inc. was always listed at an exorbitant price - in the same category of pricing as, say, Marscape or some other Genesis-related oddity.
I never had the complete album until I recently purchased the box set.
I bought Strictly Inc the week it came out, at either Sunrise or A&A Records at the local mall! Still have it too.

Great review! I've witnessed Flying Colors a few times in concert and am always entertained. I met Neal, Mike and Dave at a couple shows over the years. Glad to hear Neal has retreated from sharing main vocal duties so that Casey can fill that role full time. Looking forward to hearing this new album.
Thank you! I haven't seen FC in concert, but I did see Transatlantic twice, and both of those were excellent shows!

Listening to one of my favourite modern bands right now, the new album from Bent Knee!

Has IQ lost the influence of Martin Orford here?.........Who was also a writer and contributed to the music of the band.
Still rate this 7/10
Yes, and I did like his writing a lot. But it's now the third album without him, and they're still excellent IMO. Keys still play a prominent role and sound amazing...

No, it wasn't only once they got big. It's impossible to pinpoint exactly when they started playing encores, but they certainly were doing them as far back as March 1971, from that famously bootlegged show in Belgium where they encored with Going Out To Get You.

I've been in a big Ant mood since interviewing him this past week. I pulled all of his CDs from my shelves and started right at the beginning. So far, I've played Geese, Wise, Radio Clyde, PP&P 1, and Sides. I'll be continuing on today and the rest of the week/weekend!

My interview with Ant is now up! I hope everyone likes it.

I like the CAS cover too. Very cool vibe IMO, and the black with blue works well.
I don't mind the artwork on the WCD cover, the image and the pastel shades... but that's such a terrible album title, and it doesn't fit with the art at all. And then there's that hideous logo they started using at that time, the worst one they ever had - it looks like a child made it. And then they used it again in later years! Why on earth would they splash that eyesore on the green and blue boxed sets? The green one should have been the Nursery Cryme/Foxtrot logo, and the blue one could have been either Trick or the Seconds Out/ATTWT logo. Would have made the series look so much cooler on the shelf, instead of five boxes with giant WCD logos on them.

Genesis - Duke - first ever CD pressing (1983, West Germany), Charisma 'yellow rays' design... near mint condition. Best sounding version of this album I've ever heard!

Listening to my promo copy of the new Stormwatch box. Here's my review!

Scorpions - In Trance (Japanese Blu-spec CD2) ... my favourite of theirs, right in the middle of their classic run of five (or six, if you count Tokyo Tapes). Sounds amazing on my system, turned up super loud!
What an awesome band they were in the 70s...

Finger drumming - perhaps the only percussion that I think I truly excel at!
Yeah, me too! You should hear my double bass!
-
I've never heard of Bots.
Deserted Cities Of The Heart by Cream is one that comes to mind - I didn't notice that until I was absent-mindedly drumming along to it one day with my fingers on the desk! -
Auto-buy for me! I have every one of Ant's albums (not counting his library music) and I'm looking forward to this!

That's spooky.
I just got back from my local hmv and they were playing the new Ian Gillan live cd. Sounded tremendous so I'm going to order it.
Orchestra plus Don Airey plus Demon's Eye.
I got that 2-CD set and it's great! Absolutely killer version of When A Blind Man Cries.
