Winter's tale
Twilight alehouse
Pigeons
Paperlate
Feeding the fire
On the shoreline
Especially On the shoreline and Feeding the fire should have been album tracks!
listening to Simon Collins' new album Becoming human a lot these days. It's a grower - I didn't like it much when I first listened to it - but it grows over time. Well done, Simon!
would love Jesus he knows me on the setlist but doubt it
could live with that. I hope they play different stuff than 2007. Nobody needs more or less the same setlist again
I have no idea how and why this was recorded - but this should have been on "Plays well with others"!!!
Have a wonderful Christmas times everybody! Covid sucks, so let’s have some good vibes (but still be careful ...)
Been through the album a couple of times now and it's actually quite good! Even the track I wasn't too sure about (see above) is now among my favorites. One might probably get used to the sound of this record. Worth listening to!
nothing specific here. Though a couple of tunes are of course more likely than others. Chris Rea's Driving home for Christmas, Queen's Thank God it's Christmas - but not intensely
My grandma used to play all these awful tunes for Christmas. We don't do that these days. Some classical music in the background on Christmas Eve, that's it.
ok, so this one again shows the "later" cover image.
Is it just me complaining? I'd rather see the original artwork on future releases
I had to change my vote as I will not ba able to make it to the London gig in April (should this happen then ...)
also, I noticed that the extra shows are not listed, perhaps those can be added along with the new dates?
I must admit that I never really realized that the keys were changed that much. Of course it's a new live version but I am not a musician, just a listener and so I just enjoyed the performance by those "older" men.
So I will check again to see if I can hear the big difference now (like saying 'oh, that sounds less appealing than before' etc)
I wonder what they will have to do for the 2021 shows then ...
Obvious choice for me ... (FoF, DWTMK, TCS)
Nevertheless After the ordeal and Battle of Epping Forest are not really good, so in my opinion this album is not their best. That might be A trick of the tail.
Ok, looks like it might be time for a hint: If you watch the available old performances of these songs live, you will see what they have uniquely in common.
ok, my first thought was, they both were revived live for the (so far) last tours of Phil's and Genesis ...
but obviously you've got something else on your mind ....
Third track "The party is over" now available - and the album will be out soon!
I have this set and it's a nice thing, especially for fans. Not too expensive, nice choice of tracks, quality is good - can't complain!
And then there were three - although I became a fan much later. But I wanted to have it - because of Follow you follow me
Haven't seen Peter until his Secret World tour. We went to Milan (yes, that one ...) and then Munich a couple of days later. Have vague memories about Milan, but Munich ist still in my head. maybe because it was the second time and we kind of knew what would come?
Lovetown was a great track from that setlist - and I still wonder why Peter has left out so many tunes off his live album from that tour
14 points ...
one of his strongest ballads. And Sting clearly on backing vocals.
I loved it when he did that one in 97
Shame that the SMB part is interrupted by statements. Nevertheless, a fine film - brings back good memories!
