Mike Rutherford wrote the lyrics to Land Of Confusion...

It was going to be narrated by comedian David Baddiel, who happened to be the compare during the European tour press conference in October of 2006.

But I never found a copy, I think it sunk without a trace to be fair.

Ned, did you purchase The Fugitive - Tony Banks when it was remastered by Cherry Red? we did and its just as important a part of history as ACF. So I would say the same for SD / AVS.

We would welcome a Cherry Red records release of this, complete with "Making A Big Mistake" all in Surround Sound etc.
But I suspect the stumbling block is Mike...

Backdrifter, yes that would be a great thing a book similar to Ian McDonald's effort or Mark Lewisholm's?
for now we'll have to make do with The Genesis Archive

Well thats a stunner, we quite like Turn This Island Earth. Which when compared to tracks from the last three albums is something of a gem.

Having been fortunate to have been bestowed a preview copy for a good month now, the stand out tracks are:
Underground Railroad... which we also heard back on the 3rd November during our Steve interview.
Under The Eye Of The Sun... catchy, feels similar in feel to work on the last album.
Those Golden Wings... in parts sounds similar to Shadow Of The Hierophant or similar chord progression at the very least.
Shadow and Flame... very nice Eastern / Indian feel.
Hungry Years... needs further exploration
Decent... sounds like Bolero in places (drums etc)
Conflict... classic Steve Hackett from the last 20 years
Peace... a brilliant song that capitalises on the style of the last album.
Japanese version on order, so bonus tracks will be up for review soon.

Hi Christian,
We have ordered our Japanese edition... aside from the sting of the possible customs charge, we hope those additional tracks bring something else to the album.

Rising Sun...
No I don't believe it was that, Gary has found touring difficult with some troubles for his family over 2018. For example his landlord decided to terminate his rent agreement on his home in High Wycombe far earlier than expected, simply because the landlord wanted to sell it. That happened whilst Gary was on tour.
Stuff like that has informed Gary's decision to take time out for family...

Only Tony's management and the record company know what happened... but when I last spoke to the management I made my point that the rest of the albums should be remastered and released.

FLF Ltd has not been trading since 2014... but that doesn't mean the studio hasn't been used in that time.
Its just that neither Tony / Mike can get the tax breaks from having the studio that includes on new equipment / assets etc.

The Farm house was sold in 2001, then again in 2014 but it didn't sell. It was put back on sale in 2016 and it appears to have been sold.
The old equipment barn which was sold as part of the farm, now has planning permission and is being converted into a home, after it failed to take off as a wedding
hire business.
Recently, the studio was wound down as a business, perfectly normal for the fact its no longer trading. Then Tony / Mike in September 2014 put in a proposal to
the local council for planning permission to convert it into a 5 bedroom single storey dwelling (home). This is perfectly normal and its often what people do
to increase the value of an asset if they intend to offload it onto a developer for money.
Remembering that FLF studio was a cowshed that they converted in 1980/81 and again in 1984/85.
Either way in all the plans, proposals etc Mike / Tony intend to hold onto the equipment barn which they moved the gear into around 2001 from the old barn.
The future is uncertain, the SSL Mixing desk and a lot of the outboard equipment (you see in racks right near the mixing desk) still carry a substantial value
secondhand. If the studio was coming up for sale or being redeveloped then you would hear about this equipment coming up for sale. A Solid State Logic Desk G Series 4000. That used to belong to Genesis, has also been used by Phil Collins / Mike and The Mechanics would carry some news and value.
One day it will happen, but a German band Schiller was recording in FLF studio just as recent as September, with Gary Wallis and Nick Davis etc
So hope this isn't the end,
Kind regards

Hello All,
Rumours of the Farm's closure owing to a sign spotted declaring planning permission (also known as a planning notice), are not entirely true. Previously they have listed planning permission before in 2014. This notice in 2018 is just to renew that planning permission. So that when the studio is finally closed Tony / Mike can sell the property to a developer and realise some money from the asset, they already know that they will get much more money for it if there is planning permission already in place. http://thegenesisarchive.co.uk/studio-the-farm-fisher.../provides more information... German band Schiller were in there as was reported in October. Hope this clears up a few misunderstandings.

Cyanide wand, to be fair Chapter & Verse could have been in two volumes, but like all good books... tons of information at the beginning
and then it gets light near the end of the book...

Our sister website interviewed Steve at weekend, we had a listen of some of the tracks from the new album... One track in particular was JAW DROPPING!
This will hopefully blow the previous two albums out of the water.

A Facebook group costs nothing to set up, takes no responsibility and is often run by those who are buddies / friends of people.
The moment you provide an alternative view, question someone's knowledge or can clearly see thus explain someone lying... your labelled and then binned. How weird, because in the real world people stand up for standards, they don't tolerate lies, they embrace knowledge and accept a challenge.
So Facebook groups leave a lot to be desired.

Convinced at the beginning? Gary has been in Steve's band since June 2000... so its surprising to hear you were not convinced early in 2013!
Gary is on the backing vocals of some of the songs on To Watch The Storms, a recent 5.1 remix gives more prominence to Gary's vocal in the mix, this is on the DVD disc on the new box set.
Kind regards

Zoetermeer is always a standing only.

The tour planning is a bit messy... there are huge geographical gaps from day to day. This means you will not get three dates anywhere in the same country.
Germany looks the easiest but its either Stuttgart - Munich (or the other way around)
Or
Essen, day off, Zoetermeer x 2 (standing only concert)?
Other than that, its try the UK or Ireland if any dates are released soon.
