Swing low / Testify / Not too late
Least you can do is also nice, so is Can't stop loving you ... the rest is pretty boring.

Not sure how you can judge their longevity or otherwise. Likewise your assessment of disposability. I strongly suspect Swift and her work will be around for years to come. (And probably attain some form of Abba-esque reassessment at some point.) And Sheeran has hardly been a one-hit wonder.
I agree. I am not a fan (of neither of them), but the question how people will celebrate their legacy (or not) is not really predictable. Who knows what people like in 30 years time....
Does anyone know details about the PC interview? Was it drum talk only or also general stuff? When will this be available?
My favorite PC album, along with But seriously
I has engergy, fascinating song writing, atmosphere, variation, his best instrumental ever, drums, more drums, melody .... it's just nearly perfect!
Lots of dismissive comments here, I seem to be the only one who loves this album. I'll Be Waiting and The More I Hide It were the soundtrack (along with Mad Man Moon) for my first heartache when I was 14 years old. Great songs.
I like the album as well. I was young at the time and curious about Tony's solo stuff. Lots of great songs on the album. No doubt "The Border" is one of the best, but I don't think the ballads are that bad.
Thanks. I recall a highly condensed Genesis concert from the WCD tour being show on ABC around that time. I'm wondering if the program from June 13th is that heavily edited concert or in fact "No Admittance"?
yes, Opening Night was about the tour but also covered some band history. No Admittance is about WCD only.
One of my all tims favs from the band (and no surprise - see my profile pic!).
Nearly perfect - so 14 points!
Here Is Is - now available

A jazzy version of that track. It's okay but I hope his new album sounds a bit different than that!

I am not a fan of Nad's, but his singing on this one is really good!
Two years ago B.A. Robertson also released a new version of the Mechanics hit The Living Years.
This version of the first hit by Mike & Mechanics, dedicated to the Ukrainian people for the occasion, makes me discover the dramatic lyrics that I had never read carefully!
same here ... sometime it's amazing what music can do - and how fitting lyrics can years and years later
One of their all time classics - and it was a monster during the recent tour. 14 from me ...
"Boatman's Call" by Nick Cave & the bad Seeds
"Scratch My Back" by Peter
"Ghost of Tom Joad" by Bruce Springsteen
to name just a few
I hope Phil will do one more album. But that's just hope. I think he has now retired for good.
Yup. They completely should of got Peter, Ant and Ray on stage for that one. "Was it you?" "Or was it me?!" "Or was it X? Or.....*ominous silence* ... Z???"
they never were such a band. Would have been something, no question!
About the article: I agree to most of the author's comments. But I must say I can't stand "Domino" any more. Not sure why ...
WOW - what a great piece of work!
Are you planning to do a Collins compendium as well?
I hope the Cologne shows will happen! Is there a deadline for a final decision regarding the German shows?
Am not THAT familar with his earlier work, but have a couple of albums and do like To watch the storms, Guitar noir and also the new one!
