bloody Aer Lingus changing flights. On the 22nd September was suppose to leave Birmingham at 13.55 but it got changed to 8.50. Requested a refund (which I won't get because I was only Economy class at the cheapest rate)
Fear not I got a Ryanair flight that will leave at 12.50
It doesn't state on the Utillia Arena Birminghams website but i messegned them on facebook and they siad 'At the moment, the EU green certificate will be an acceptable form of proof to enter our venue. However, this may change in line with British government guidance so please keep an eye on our Venue Protect page in the run up to your event.'
Id imagine similar for all the Arenas in England
suppose the tour is still of decent size, 14 shows in England and 2 in Scotland
We know full capacity shows are permitted in England but like Dublin and Belfast Scotland is still up in the air due to there governments stance on indoor events
let's hope and pray the rest of the UK dates will happen as planned
Belfast postponed
the Dublin shows finally removed from the bands website
You're only looking at it from 1 point of view though. I don't see these " spineless decisions " you speak of, and find it an insulting thing to say to those involved.
The covid response is Ireland has been pathetic and its stuck in my mind
Hoepfully I was just reading to much into things and shows will happen it vaccinated and non vaccinated people from abroad permitted to attend
reckon, 'Turn it on again' will be the opener with 'Invisible Touch' closing the show
Between that I have no idea
Probably, next week they cancel the UK tour either for all or only for foreigners due to travel restrictions. But I believe they will still make some money out of it. Better than nothing.
Yep scared of that too
Coming from Ireland after getting my full vaccine and cert to prove it. Real kick in the balls
I'll get my money back for everything except the flights but my mental health will take a big hit because of spineless decisions. I should be able to make my choice and if I feel comfortable going to a concert then it should be honoured
a lot of this is a bit of a 'misunderstanding'
Boom
feeling a little positive going by some of the comments on the Facebook group for the tour
Talk of Nic heading to the UK for rehearsals the end of August
Booked a room in Jurys Inn a few mins walk from the Arena in Birmingham
Never in Birmingham and hoping for a few nice pubs around the area
From what I've just read in the French press, England seems to go better and better, despite the end of the restrictions. Epidemiologists as well as UK government had predicted a huge amount of new Covid cases, with heavy issues for the NHS, but for now, none of this happened.
"Nobody really understands what's going on" says John Edmunds, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
For those of you who know french, you can read the beginning : https://www.lemonde.fr/planete…ictions_6091131_3244.html
So I really wish it continues to go this way...
Yep same
Hopefully us Irish (who are fully vaccinated) will be able to travel over to the UK next few months for the tour

Londons o2 hosted a full capacity concert last night
messaged the Utilita Arena Birminghams Facebook and the have said 'the EU green Cert will be accepted for entry ATM but to keep checking relevant Web pages etc'
Flights booked, hotels and tickets got. Please please please let nothing happen and the tour will go ahead
God bless the Common Travel Area between Ireland and the UK
Going to Birmingham night 2 so hoepfully I'll have an idea what the setlist be like and when I can go for drinks/toilet breaks
I'd be raging if I ended up missing Follow You Follow Me
hopefully my EU green cert will work for entry into arenas in England
Crazy the tour is only weeks away from hopefully starting
Would the Birmingham ticket be refundable in the event of a cancellation? If so, that would seem the best bet to me.
Yes went onto the Arena website and purchased a ticket (with tickets protection) just now from 'the ticket factory'
Brilliant seat at the edge of the row for night 2 of Birmingham (block 3 upper row MM)
Travelling solo and will hopefully be booking flights very soon. Hotel with free cancellation booked. Heartbreaking i had to get a refund for the Dublin show but feel 2022 is already packed full of concerts and a trip away for a night would do me the world of good esp towards the end of 2021
Still up in the air
Will i buy my ticket to Birmingham 2 and hope for the best in terms of entry requirements (fully vaccinated with the EU Green Cert, Republic Of Ireland)
Lets hope clarity from the bands management comes sooner rather than later so i can plan
Hotel/Ticket packages seem too expensive (tickets prices are tbh esp from £ to €)
