Surprised still no word on the bands social media accounts about the postponement
Let’s see what they will do. Move it at the end of the tour or into 2022, together with an announcement for mainland Europe …?
Reckon I'll get a refund and go to Birmingham night 2
Dublin shows postponed, just got the email there
No news on the others yet
thinking the same
I really wonder how many of you from wherever outside the UK want to do whatever necessary to travel to the UK... This is all so bizarre
In my case its the frustration of the Irish Government and Health Officials who are adapting an ultra cautious covid restrictions exit. Arena sized concerts are still very much not on the radar yet. 18000 max attendance for sporting events so far here in Ireland
With the UK been so close and the real possibility the shows will happen there, its a no brainer and the fact 2022 will already be a busy year for concerts
Wait and see I suppose. Let's hope its pretty straight forward in terms of arena access. The EU green cert might be enough etc
Let's hope news of the tour comes soon enough. So people can plan etc
Clarification: US and EU citizens (apart from the EU) do not need to quarantine under the circumstance that they have a Covid vaccine approved by the EU or US or UK plus a negative test on day two.
Coming from Ireland to Birmingham
I'm fully vaccinated with the J&J and have an EU cert confirming
Flying over the morning of the concert and back the day after
How would I be fixed?
Erasure have changed there Dublin show to next year as part of a European leg but the most interesting part is that there UK dates are going ahead as scheduled in 2021
Can see Genesis doing something like that. Really hope the decision is made pretty soon. The tour is only a month away
Very interesting sentence from today's announcement of the new greatest hits album
'the compilation will be released on 17th September in conjunction with the start of The Last Domino? Tour'
Sounds like the Dublin shows will be cancelled/postponed and the tour will start in Belfast
not looking good for Dublin
Birmingham night 2 looking likely for me. Would it be better value for me getting that Hotel/Ticket package ? Obviously won't be buying til Dublin is officially cancelled/rescheduled etc
Birmingham night 2 is my backup plan if/when Dublin gets cancelled or rescheduled
No flights/Hotel or gig Ticket for Birmingham yet but I'm hoping we'll have clarity soon for both the gigs and travel arrangements (fully vaccinated Irish citizen).
Would those hotel/ticket packages work out the best for me in that instance ?
looking like you need a EU covid cert or whatever the UK equivalent to get into Arenas
Got my Covid vaccine today (J&J), still very hard to see the Dublin gigs happening as scheduled but maybe the English gigs might happen in September/October and I'll travel over for one of them
Reckon an announcement could be coming this week with Thursday 15th July been only 2 months to the proposed start of the tour in Dublin
Looking like English Arenas could be open at full capacity by the Autumn. Hardly do only English cities with the others in early 2022
No news is good news
Dublin shows could be cancelled and the tour might start in Belfast with the other UK dates going ahead as planned
looking good for England who plan to go back to 'close to normal' from the 19th July
Northern Ireland going well with Scotland after hitting a roadblock
less said about the Republic Of Ireland and covid reopening the better
If you think Governments in the UK are bad look at them in the Republic Of Ireland. Only country in Europe to not allow indoor dining and drinking. Latest is they may bring in a covid pass/cert if they are to open indoor hospitality (only the fully vaccinated will be allowed drink/eat inside). Outdoor gig limits of 500 and 50/100 indoors
Hopefully we will get clarity of the tour very soon.
So here in Ireland it's been announced that indoor gatherings have been paused
Looking strongly that then Dublin dates will be cancelled if as expected the UK shows can go ahead
Fuming at the pathetic response to the new variant in Ireland
With Elbow rescheduling there tour to 2022, Genesis are now the first bands to play the 3Arena in Dublin since the start of the pandemic
Very hard to see the shows going ahead as planned and its extremely possible the UK shows will go ahead with the Dublin ones cancelled because of the extremely cautious approach the Irish Government are adopting
Feel the nail has been put in the coffin for this tour happening as scheduled now sadly with these fucking variants
I'd be content with early/mid 2022.
Will be interesting to see what's going to happen in Ireland - who knows, maybe these two shows are affected and the other ones not? no idea ...
If they are forced to postpone again, I am pretty sure their agency (which is solomusicagency) have enough dates and venues at hand to make that happen, same applies to further shows in continental Europe.
Reckon if the UK shows can go ahead with full capacities and the Dublin ones can't then they will be cancelled sadly. Currently have plans to head to Birmingham if that's the case but who knows
Elton John has a tour announcement the 23rd June which has similar venues to the Genesis tour but a bit later.
Interesting few weeks ahead
