There are actually 3 versions now. Each label has a different track listing.
Really? Do you have the detail/pointer?

'dancing with a moonlit knight' is a fan favourite, but it had never been included in any genesis official compilation or live album so far.
the other tracks from this compilation are more or less predictable...
While I sort of know what you mean, there has been an official live release of Moonlit Knight. On two releases.
All of a sudden! Talking about 90s stuff prompted that, I suppose? I still think Wide Open Space is one of the best songs from that period, it does that thing really good songs can do, of having a real feeling of tension. I always liked Take It Easy Chicken as well. I think they were about to go on tour before touring ceased to be.
I've always liked Little Kix. The Kleptomania set is really good, too. And Paul Draper's solo work is worth checking out. He's been working with The Anchoress, who's also been working with The Manics (and Simple Minds), who's really good. And with Steven Wilson.

I agree that the suggestion of a poll is probably not wise, given the scale of his catalogue. Although I might just be being "selfish" as several of my favourites of his are library albums.
Pity I missed your post. Though no doubt you covered all bases.
I thought it very odd that Wilson is stating that the album gets its retail release on 28 August. That's a Saturday. Amazon (UK) now have it listed and - as expected - have it down as coming out on Friday 27th.
Able to answer my own query. I posted something similar on Wilson's FB page and received the clarification that it is indeed the 27th.

and again ... a hundred different vinyl versions. Is there a list of the different editions somewhere? Looks like these are again exclusive editions for some stores?
Being prepared as we speak...
And yes, store-exclusive editions, as is fairly standard, these days.
I Believe In Father Christmas (cover) by Nerina Pallot.
Well, I was born too late for that. But friends of mine still tell me stories about that wonderful show at Hamburg's St Pauli stadium in 1982.
On the other hand - I also saw them in Drtmund 1998
Wish I could have seen the Crimson support show. As well as being too young to go I would probably have been too naive to enjoy it. (Ditto Talk Talk at Milton Keynes.) My brother was there (at both), though.
There's a live EP from the launch gig for the album last autumn available as a free d*wnl**d from Hues's Bandcamp page. Highly recommended. As is the album itself.

'Tis the anniversary of the release of Do They Hurt? tomorrow (18th).
Sara Consentino sounds like something instrumental.
Upcoming Gabriel tribute .... well. I won't hold my breath
Yes, I'm with you on the tr*b*te, though I'll be interested to see which track Bowness tackles (and how). And to see who else is involved. There have been some worthwhile covers over the years. I do like the Shearwater take on Mother of Violence.
This just in from Tim Bowness. (For those who don't know, Bowness is Steven Wilson's musical partner in No-Man, as well as having an extensive career of his own.)
"...Of the sessions (some of which I’m not allowed to mention yet), one is an unexpected Country cover with a well-known guitarist, one is a 17 minute all-star ‘tribute’ (wherein I massacre a Prog classic!), one is a ballad for a Musical, and four – including three with Peter Hammill – are for a Saro Cosentino album (featuring Gavin Harrison, John Giblin, David Rhodes and others). I’ve also recorded a favourite Peter Gabriel piece with Peter Chilvers for an upcoming PG tribute release."
I’d like it if they produced the live collection on vinyl. They did a half-speed master of Seconds Out a couple of years ago, which was very good, and I’d hoped that this was heralding a broader vinyl reissue schedule, but alas, no.
They could improvise and blend the ‘shorts’ and the ‘longs’ to make for a concert- accurate running order. Given the appetite for vinyl right now - and notwithstanding the debacle over the ‘not quite 180 gram’ weight of the vinyl in the ‘red’ set - I’m surprised they haven’t gone for this. I have all three of the studio album sets, and they take pride of place in my music collection. They are simply missing the ‘no-brainer’ live set! My credit card is starting to twitch at the mere thought of such an item!
1) The Seconds Out Davis mix was first issued on vinyl in 2012 as a 35th anniversary edition.
2) The Longs and Shorts were combined in the way you describe for the CD box set edition.

has anybody received his her copy yet? I have now ordered mine, but still waiting.
any feedback so far?
I've had my copy for a while now. The revised artwork is a little disappointing, especially in printing one photo in particular in black and white. But the whole set sounds fine.

These have been available for some time. Following the clear Duke and the orange Invisible Touch.
Enjoying the feature and am currently half way through. Just a couple of observations so far:
1) I'm not sure why the assumption has been made that the What Happened single was not commercially released. It was not uncommon for UK singles not to come in picture sleeves. Just look at Genesis up to and including Turn It On Again.
2) PG3 was released at the end of May.

I'll probably get it, but it's not the most exciting release. How official is it? It looks like some of the other Knebworth performances are getting a release too (might pick up the Robert Plant one).
But a double or triple LP live at the Lyceum 1980... now THAT would be exciting.
Define "official". RSD is not known for its bootlegs. It's released by Eagle Rock, who clearly own the rights, judging by the previous editions.
