I'm new to this forum but a lifelong Genesis fan. Used to visit the old forum from time to time.
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a Mike Rutherford story I'm trying to find.
I remember reading a hilarious anecdote from Mike, about how he played hooky during studio sessions (the making of We Can't Dance, I believe) to play polo. He made the excuse of leaving early for a dentist appointment, and then that very day got knocked off his horse. When he next showed up for rehearsals with a couple teeth missing, the guys were like, "What kind of a dentist did you see."
I've been trying to figure out where I read this. I thought sure it was in Mike's Living Years book but couldn't find it. Then I looked through Phil's Not Dead Yet autobiography but still no luck.
I really want to find this story, it's driving me nuts.
