Listened to in full it is automatic to compare it to the dark songs of Genesis such as CAS or Watcher of the Skies.

It's not about the singer, but the song itself is wonderful and very romantic!

I don't know, the song lasts 10 minutes and I left at 5 already.
One of Simon's best qualities is his voice and here perhaps for the vocoder (!?) I don't even recognize it.

Peter Gabriel: Vocals, Piano
Tony Levin: Bass
Manu Katche: Drums
David Rhodes: Guitars
Keyboards are missing, unless there are pre-recorded backing tracks.

With a very basic band I expect only Unpuggled Rearranged Hits.

Wake Up Call.
The Least You Can Do.
Can't Stop Loving You.
But is PC or Mike & Mechanics?

I found this interview with Chester, which confirms what you told me. Thanks!

I wonder if there is an agency that provides musicians for hire.
Like PG in Shock The Monkey at the 1983 Sanremo festival.

I cannot believe it's true!

Maybe the October 6th date was taken because Foxtrot entered the charts on October 8th.

In the Big Room @realworldstudios.... we wait and we wonder!

With You Can't Hurry Love we discovered PC's passion for Motown Music.
-
I agree with Genesis News, that Foxtrot's release date is definitely September.
Charisma Records was acquired by Universal (Virgin) which only gives information about the Remastered album.
-
I would see no other reason to dress like the fox-headed woman on the album cover.
-
Maybe because September 28th 1972, was the date of the famous Dublin concert, where PG wore the fox mask with the red dress, to launch the album.
So the next week October 6, the release date was calculated.
-
Sorry I'm a lazy man, but how did Foxtrot's October 6th date come up?
