A very mixed bag in terms of quality of performance across different venues and different songs. All the luck in the world to whoever has the hospital pass job of producing/editing/mixing the live DVD for this tour.
Piecing together what looks on video like a single flawless performance ain't going to be an easy task.

Not sure how the economics of tours go, but with the cancelations adding up, this tour may not be a giant money maker. No one's fault just life.
I've no doubt that Uncle Tony (Smith) will have very carefully hedged a lot of the risks with specialist insurers and reinsurers.
And with ticket prices at such eye-watering levels, I reckon they'll still be able to top up their pensions quite comfortably.

Living Forever lyrics capture the Covid information/misinformation and people's attitudes perfectly!

May have imagined this...but did i read somewhere that some of the crowd shots were from a Yes gig?..as i say this may have happened in a parallel universe of my mind!
Correct - Mike Rutherford is quoted in Mario Giametti's latest book confirming the crowd was at a Yes gig in Philadelphia, whereas Genesis were really playing at Bingley Hall in Staffordshire.

Barclay James Harvest
Yes
Marillion
Pink Floyd

But as with any project, it has to have a certain sales return. In order for the project to be viable.
Tony Smith will almost certainly have done the maths already!

This is wonderful news. After each AP re-release I convince myself that the archive must now be exhausted, but somehow Ant and Jonathan consistently manage to find more gems down the back of the sofa. Keep 'em coming!

I kind of wish Nick Magnus was back in the fold, his solo stuff is great, and I think he'd improve Steve's sound.
Seconded!

I think they had multiple plans. Runouts about blocked stadium are surely not entirely false, but I guess the London shows plus Phil’s wish not to extend this too much made them improvise a bit. Big promoters always have some venues at hand so the option for the March indoors didn’t get them unprepared
I have no doubt that Uncle Tony (Smith) will have had multiple fallback options up up his sleeve to cover all kinds of eventualities. He's the master strategist!

1 K, 2 T's! Jeez, you can't even spell your own userid.
Classic!

Outstanding songwriter, 3 best songs for me Wichita Lineman as performed by Glen Campbell, MacArthur Park as performed by Justin Hayward, and best of all, Still within the sound of my voice by Linda Rondstadt.
If These Walls Could Speak as performed by Amy Grant is well worth checking out too.

... which might prove justified as soon as in the near Future :

Hands up, fair cop, Sir Ralph!
If this happens any time soon then I'm prepared to eat my hat and bow to your incredible foresightedness.
All the best,
RS

Sorry if this has been asked before but will there be a DVD/live CD of the tour? As a continental European I am not going to attend any shows, I would purchase a live disc by any means.
Don't worry, Tony Smith will have a plan for this and, no doubt, a Plan B as well. He might even give the green light to a Blu-ray version of When In Rome as a bonus.

Let's re-ignite our hopes again! Hasn't any Genesis activity so far been followed by a new release from Peter within only a few months?
I admire your supreme optimism!

From the band Yes.... Not including live albums
Jon Anderson 15
Rick Wakeman 80
Chris Squire 2
Bill Bruford 8
Alan White 1
Geoff Downes 7
Trevor Robin 6
Patrick Moraz 13
Oliver Wakeman 12
So far I counted 144 albums from the band members of Yes.
You could add others by Peter Banks, Igor Khoroshev and Billy Sherwood.

I think it's well documented historically that Tony, Mike and especially Phil don't like rehearsing much.
Problem is, when you're in your seventies and charging that much for tickets, winging it just isn't acceptable. I really do love this band but the more footage I see, the more I think this tour is a Domino too far.

Very pleased to hear this as Nad really has been the weakest link in the band for years and the vocals in the video snippet of their Squonk rehearsal sounded terrible.
Hope he nails it again at the Palladium next week!
Sorry, Nad - I did you a disservice! Yesterday's vocals weren't bad at all
In fact, it was a fantastic performance across the board by the whole band

Imo Second’s Out has a terrible flow due to the space limitations of vinyl. I find afterglow by itself to be particularly egregious as I feel the songs works best being transitioned into.....
Good point, but at least it's not as bad as 'The Way We Walk - The Longs' where they have the drum duet on its own at the end, not leading into anything at all

A Superb gig. Nad in particular was outstanding.....
