The London show is nearly here.
I had originally thought about taking my camera and taking photos of the fans before the show, but I think will have issues taking my gear inside, so won't do that now.
I'm very grateful that I will be at the Friday show

Also strangely no-one commented on Supper's Ready played in its entirety as encore... strange...
No one commented on Phil dying half way through trying to even attempt this.... Strange...

I was looking at the early Instagram.posts and they didn't sound good.
I saw a full video earlier this morning of Mama and it was much better and a couple of others.
I think when only small 15 second clips are posted... a the quality of audio and also just a snippet can not give full impression.
I still think he sounded better at the end of the last shows, but he deffiently sounds better than he did on those early first shows back in September and October
-
From the various clips I've seen, Phil didn't sound very good in some songs.
He was much stronger the last few shows before the break.
I hope he gets his rhythm back again over the next few shows.
Will look out for more complete videos of tonight show, to see how he was overall.

Everything should be okay for the o2
They have postponed 2 shows for this Monday & Tuesday which is to be expected given the still bad conditions outside, but they should get works done to secure the arena soon & shows will Continue.
-
The area in question is basically where the shops are having seen inside footage today
O2 said it will stay closed tomorrow morning to access the damage.
The actual arena, has its own independent roof and isn't impacted.
It's just a question of inspecting tomorrow to see the full extent and then work on a repair or full replacement.
Arena shows I suspect will continue and perhaps o2 shops and restaurants will be closed or limited for period of time.
-
Thankfully the Arena itself has its own roof separate to the shell of the o2, so fingers crossed all will be okay for the arena to carry on.
Shops and restaurants may be closed for a little bit though.
-
Part of the roof of the o2 arena is currently non existant thanks to the storm!

HAD HE?!
Well, you know he had, because you've even commented in the thread where the original article came from

Not being on FB, I haven't seen this. What's being said?
Like, Peter never liked Genesis, he never cared about the band, there is zero chance he will go see them in London etc etc
Even when you point out that Peter had said he was going to the London show that got cancelled, they deny it.
Just seems there are a certain few that are very Anti Peter on there lately.
-
Wasn't this also the show that Phil met his ex GF and began his affair??
-
Can someone explain why there is so much resentment on the Genesis Facebook page towards Peter Gabriel lately?
-
That's interesting. I remember one of them saying they didn't like the instrumental very much, so I assumed that was behind their dropping it. I'm with the "shame they cut it" team. That section has a nice ethereal feel of a kind they didn't do much and i liked it. Then the build-up into "You keep telling me..." - great stuff, especially on stage on the IT tour.
Yeah, both Mike and Tony have said that the instrumental part was weaker than other long songs they had, so they dropped it.
Personally I always loved the full version.
I love the full version of Abacab also, which they dropped after IT Tour., which is a shame as it has so much energy.
-
It's getting closer for sure.
Looking forward to this last run from the boys.
I am convinced that PG will deffiently be at the London show (likely the last one).
I wouldn't be shocked if he was there for encore.

Other day I put on 5 concerts back to back whilst working at home and it's really noticeable at the drop of energy between 1983 Mama Tour to the 2007 Tour when you play them all back to back.
I watched
Mama Tour
Invisible Touch Tour
We Can't Dance Tour
Turn it on Again Tour (Germany)
When in Rome Concert.
The Germany concert was totally flat and I really feel that Phil had no heart in this Tour and it showed.
The Rome concert is a little better, but that's expected if you're in front of 500,000k people.
I think energy wise, some of the Last Domino shows have been better in fact than 2007

Pretty much all restrictions in England ending next week.
So fingers crossed for no more nasty variations until at least April
-
Have a great few days and stay safe!
-
Nice try Choccy but I’m not a Habs fan. I actually hate them. 🤙
Good to hear

We are back in covid restrictions. Bars, clubs, theatres, and cinemas all closed. Was lucky to get that Genesis concert just in the knick of time. If it was this week it would have been cancelled. The music gods were with me.
You were also lucky in avoiding a defeat by the Bruins
