Last year, an extensive boxset of Anthony Phillips' first album The Geese And The Ghost was released. It contained additional bonus tracks (such as the long lost Only Your Love with Phil Collins on vocals) and also a brand new 5.1 surround sound mix. A few days ago, his second album Wise After The Event was also released in that format (see news item here). The series now continues with his third album Sides, due this April.
Once again the set will contain four discs, including bonus material and new stereo and surround sound mixes. CD1 contains a brand new stereo mix, CD2 contains additional bonus tracks from that period, while CD3 contains the classic stereo mix (remastered). Disc four is a DVD / DVD-Audio hybrid and contains the album in brand new 5.1 surround sound. Guest musicians on Sides include John Hackett, Dale Newman, Mike Giles, John G. Perry & Mel Collins. The album was produced by Rupert Hine. In the new booklet, you find an essay written by Jon Dann and interviews with Rupert Hine and Anthony Phillips himself.
