The live EP Live From The Board - Official Bootleg will be released as a 10inch EP on vinyl on 29 November as part of Record Store Day Black Friday.
This EP was originally released in April 1995 as part of the Both Sides / Far Sides Of The World Tour in Japan as an EP-CD and in Australia as part of a Both Sides Tour Edition. Later, the EP CD was also released in Europe. The EP contains the tracks Sussudio, Easy Lover, Separate Lives and My Girl. These were recorded during the European leg of the tour in England in 1994. Curious: no song from his then current album is included, but the cover version of My Girl played on the tour is.
This EP will now be released on vinyl for the first time as part of Record Store Day on Black Friday on 29 November. It is a 10" EP. It is the first ever regular release from the Genesis family in this vinyl format. Record Store Day is an initiative designed to help traditional record shops. On this day, special vinyl editions and vinyl releases are offered exclusively in participating shops. In most cases, these items are not available elsewhere.
Additional digital release
Nevertheless, Live From The Board - Official Bootleg will also be available digitally. Sussudio is already available on streaming platforms and for download. The full EP will then follow and can already be pre-ordered digitally on digital platforms.
Curiosities about this release
The digital promotion is accompanied, as usual at the moment, by a YouTube video (audio) of the first track (Sussudio (live)).
However, the details in the description are a little strange. On the one hand, you are offered the option to purchase the song. This is done with the note "Download 'Name of the Song'" - someone must have forgotten to fill in the placeholder.
In addition, the name of the EP is not mentioned, but you are told that Sussudio (live) comes from the album At Fukuoka Dome. This is of course wrong (the song was recorded in England in 1994), but a cover is also included ...
This motif is not known from bootlegs, promos or the like. So let's wait and see what it's all about. Someone must have created this cover for a specific purpose ...
Phil Collins Debutalbum became a classic of the 80ies and is probably his best album to date.
