Sound Of Contact and InsideOut sign record deal

New album "Dimensionaut" to come out this May

A few days ago we have reported that Simon Collins' and Dave Kerzner's prog band Sound of Contact will go on tour in 2013, with the majority of the so far known dates in Europe this May (see full list of tour dates here). Sound Of Contact have just signed a record deal with InsideOut. The new album will come out in May. This is the full press release:

InsideOut Music is extremely pleased to announce that they have signed a worldwide deal with the band Sound of Contact for the release of their debut album Dimensionaut on May 20th, 2013. The brainchild of Simon Collins (son of legendary musician Phil Collins) and keyboardist/co-producer Dave Kerzner, Sound of Contact marks the beginning of something that Collins had always wanted to put his hand to after ten years of promoting his own solo career. With the help of Kerzner as well as Matt Dorsey, Kelly Nordstrom and Hannah Stobart (Wishing Tree) with an album mixed by Nick Davis (Genesis, XTC, Marillion) this vision has come to fruition. On the signing to InsideOut, Collins comments: "I’m really excited about working with InsideOut Music and Century Media in what I feel will be a long and successful relationship between my new band Sound of Contact and a label that truly loves music and gets what we’re doing."
Label-head Thomas Waber adds:

In advance of the album’s release on May 20th, 2013, the band will begin a stint with legendary prog band Spock’s Beard, and label-mates Beardfish as part of the InsideOut Music 20th Anniversary Tour a premier event that will see the band taking their music to Europe for the first time. The line-up for these shows will feature Collins and Kerzner as well as Matt Dorsey, John Wesley (Porcupine Tree, Fish) and Jonathan Schang (District 97). Before this tour, however, the band will be featured as part of the Marillion Weekend in Montreal, Canada performing on March 24th, 2013. This will mark the beginning of what is sure to be an incredibly exciting and eventful year for the band.
