The Ant Band – From Genesis To Reimagination – info
The Ant Band's second album will be released on 13 February. You can find all the information about "From Genesis To Reimagination" here.
Following their tribute album A Light On The Hill (2021) for Anthony Phillips, The Ant Band are releasing their second album (not counting the bonus album Bonus Bits & Blunders from 2022). This time, they are dedicating themselves to Genesis' debut album – From Genesis To Revelation. Appropriately, they call it From Genesis To Reimagination and present the album, reinterpreted, in its original form – as it was once planned but never realised. For Genesis fans, this should be an interesting journey.
Formats and order options
The album will be released on 13 February as a CD and digital album. A vinyl version will also be available, but this will be released at a later date and will feature clear vinyl. It will be available primarily via Bandcamp. UK residents can also order CD and vinyl via Burningshed. The CD comes in a gatefold sleeve and is available for pre-order now. The digital album will also be available on 13 February. All pre-order customers will receive a preview track immediately (The Serpent).
The Ant Band's album contains 15 tracks, based on the original tracklist from the first master tape in 1968.
The band will once again donate part of the proceeds to charity.

Anthony Phillips knew about the project from the outset, acted as a consultant and also wrote the liner notes for the album.
The Ant Band – the line-up
The Ant Band line-up is largely the same as the one that came together after the Anthony Phillips event in 2014 to record the Anthony Phillips tribute album A Light On The Hill in 2021. And since the members live all over Germany, From Genesis To Reimagination became another remote project – which is now finally being released, more than three years after it was started.
The Ant Band: Bert Wenndorff, Damian Krebs, Gereon Schoplick, Jan-Peer Hartmann, Martin Brilla, Nina Morgenstern, Peter Mustó, Robin Morgenstern, Roland Manns, Sascha Krieger, Tom Morgenstern.
Also featuring: Christoph Piel, David Dunnington, Stefan Störmer.
Tom Morgenstern says about From Genesis To Revelation:
The songs are technically far from perfect and hardly finalised in terms of arrangement. However, it is a very diverse, varied album full of good songs that unfortunately didn't get a real chance back then. These are by no means simple pop songs, as has often been claimed or even criticised, because they have a relatively high degree of harmonic complexity. Or to put it more simply, the guys used much more than just the three standard chords of pop music, and they did so so skilfully that most listeners probably didn't even notice. To be honest, we were also a little surprised when we took a closer look.
You can read more about this in an interview with Tom that we have published here.
