Late 2011 saw the publication of Silent Runner, a biography about Mike Rutherford, written by Mario Giammetti.
Mike + The Mechanics return to Germany and Luxembourg in summer. Five new live dates have been announced. Tickets are already on sale.
Previous plans have been cancelled, and the Mechanics will not continue their tour in March 2012. Further shows are planned for summer.
On their much-acclaimed Hit The Road tour Mike + The Mechanics played an open-air gig at Zetkin-Park Leipzig and an indoor show in Admiralspalast Berlin. Christian Gerhardts examines both shows.

The new Mike + The Mechanics album will still be released in April, but has been rescheduled for 18 April 2011 in the UK and in France.
