Mike + The Mechanics started their tour today during a festival show in Kiel. There were quite a few changes in the setlist.
After several shows have been confirmed for Germany and other European countries, Mike + The Mechanics will also play shows in the UK.
More dates have been confirmed for the Mike + The Mechanics summer tour 2012. The band will perform in the UK, Denmark and Switzerland.
Late 2011 saw the publication of Silent Runner, a biography about Mike Rutherford, written by Mario Giammetti.
Mike + The Mechanics return to Germany and Luxembourg in summer. Five new live dates have been announced. Tickets are already on sale.
Previous plans have been cancelled, and the Mechanics will not continue their tour in March 2012. Further shows are planned for summer.
On their much-acclaimed Hit The Road tour Mike + The Mechanics played an open-air gig at Zetkin-Park Leipzig and an indoor show in Admiralspalast Berlin. Christian Gerhardts examines both shows.
