Foxtrot producer David Hitchcock has passed away

Yesterday, news leaked that Foxtrot producer David Hitchcock had passed away on Thursday.

David Hitchcock is dead. The music producer passed away last Thursday. This was confirmed by his family yesterday. Hitchcock was born in 1949 and began his career in 1967 at Decca Records. He later produced several well-known bands, including Camel, Caravan, Marillion, and Renaissance.

He worked as a producer on the Genesis album Foxtrot. We recently discussed his role in our research article on the album's release date (Steve Hackett recalled the change from John Anthony to David Hitchcock). Hitchcock later moved into the financial sector with the aim of becoming a financial advisor in the music industry. He eventually became financial manager for Monty Python. He then founded his own financial management company, DBM Ltd. A late interview (from 2021) can be found on a Caravan fan site.

David Hitchcock was 76 years old.
