Peter Gabriel adds live shows on Nugs

Peter Gabriel has begun releasing his live shows on the streaming service nugs. Downloads are also available.

A few days ago, Peter Gabriel released four of his live shows, previously released as the Encore Series, on the nugs platform. The first four shows are from 2003: Mountainview, CA (7 June 2003); Camden, NJ (21 June 2003); Noblesville, IN (2 July 2003) and Montreal, QC (6 July 2003). More shows from the Encore archive are to follow. In addition to streaming, the albums can also be purchased as MP3, ALAC and FLAC downloads.

It is currently unclear whether Peter plans to offer other shows (not released as part of the Encore Series). Here you can access the Peter Gabriel section on nugs.

We also published a review of the Encore Series 2003 at the time, which you can find here.

What is nugs?

Nugs gives artists the opportunity to offer live shows to their fans. Some artists make extensive use of this service. Bruce Springsteen, for example, lists a total of over 300 shows (!). The platform offers the shows as streams, but you can also purchase individual shows, some of which are also available on CD. Streaming is the standard, but the availability of downloads or CDs varies from artist to artist.

Nugs offers three pricing models. All offer full access to the shows, plus extras (such as discounts on CD purchases, live streams or video content). Access is then valid for all artists on Nugs. You can see the different pricing models here.
