Peter Gabriel: Live albums out on physical media soon

The two Peter Gabriel live albums In The Big Room and Live At WOMAD 1982 will by out on physical media in early 2026.

Earlier this year, Peter Gabriel released two live albums as digital albums. In The Big Room was recorded in 2003 at Real World Studios and Live At WOMAD 1982 contains a recording of the very first WOMAD festival, where Peter presented new tracks from the then upcoming fourth album. For both live albums, a physical release (Vinyl and / or CD) was promised at a later date. Reviews are available here.

In the new Prog Magazine (January 2026, in stores 31 December) both albums are announced for release on physical media. In The Big Room will come in February and Live At WOMAD 1982 in March, according to Prog Magazine. There is no info whether they will be out on Vinyl and CD or just one of the formats. Since they write “both receive a physical release for the first time” we can hope for Vinyl and CD.
