Peter Gabriel: “Mercy Street” instrumental on Bandcamp

It’s super moon today and Peter Gabriel has put a special instrumental mix of Mercy Street in your libraries on Bandcamp!

Two weeks ago we got the special Tower remix from the Moon promo CD. For the super moon today, it’s a special instrumental mix that just dropped in the Bandcamp libraries of the Full Moon Club members.

It is actually a mix that was rebuilt for this specific Bandcamp release!

This instrumental version of Mercy Street is a rebalance and edit of the audio from the original multitrack. The very same 32-track tape that Kevin Killen used for his album mix. The piano ‘complicated the arrangement’ and they found it difficult to get it to sit right in the movement of the song.
Under Peter’s direction, Charles Hughes rebuilt the mix for this Bandcamp release, revisiting the piano with some slight variations of percussion.

Mercy Street (Bandcamp Instrumental) is now available in your libraries on Bandcamp.
