Peter Gabriel releases live album “In The Big Room”

It was originally a Bandcamp exclusive release, but now the Peter Gabriel Live album In The Big Room is available to everyone.

For more than a year, one song after another from his performance at RealWorld Studios on 23 November 2003 has been published on Bandcamp. This was exclusively for members of his Full Moon Club there. The title of this live album is Lunatics In The Big Room.

Now, somewhat surprisingly, the live album In The Big Room has been released on all platforms. The album contains the following tracks:

In The Big Room

Burn You Up, Burn You Down
More Than This
Games Without Frontiers
Downside-Up
Mercy Street
Darkness
Digging In The Dirt
The Tower That Ate People
San Jacinto
Shock The Monkey
Signal To Noise
Secret World
Father, Son
In Your Eyes

Interestingly, Darkness is now included (it was missing from the Lunatics album), but Solsbury Hill is still missing. The intro (welcome) has also been omitted for this release. Also, the Full Moon Club version is a bit different and most tracks have longer running times and they contain the introductions to the songs.

Peter has confirmed that In The Big Room may also come out on CD or Vinyl at a later date.

It is unclear why Peter Gabriel is now making this Bandcamp-exclusive release available to everyone. However, Full Moon Club members have received this new album version for free in their music library. An overview of the Bandcamp extras can be found here.

In The Big Room is now available to stream or download, for example on Bandcamp.
