Peter Gabriel: “Taking The Pulse” comes in October

Somewhat surprisingly, the release of Peter Gabriel’s (partial) concert film Taking The Pulse has now been announced for October.

As part of the New Blood Tour, Peter Gabriel also performed with the New Blood Orchestra in Verona (see concert review here). This show in the venerable arena was filmed at the time. Peter’s daughter Anna Gabriel directed. However, this show was not released initially. A few years ago, a two-part release followed as a stream (divided into the Scratch My Back part and the part with his own songs, which was called Taking The Pulse).

Now, Peter Gabriel has surprisingly announced Taking The Pulse (only the second part of the show) on Blu-ray. This Blu-ray will be released on 10 October. The following tracks are included:

Taking The Pulse Blu-ray

Rhythm of the Heat
San Jacinto
Digging in the Dirt
The Drop
Signal to Noise
Downside Up
Darkness
Mercy Street
Blood of Eden
Washing of the Water
Intruder
Red Rain
Solsbury Hill
In Your Eyes
Don’t Give Up
The Nest that Sailed the Sky

In terms of sound, there will be PCM stereo and DTS HD Master – no Dolby ATMOS.

Taking The Pulse is available here and also at amazonUK* and amazonFR*.
