Peter Gabriel: Third “Sky Blue” version added on Bandcamp

Today Peter Gabriel has released the third version of the song Sky Blue on Bandcamp with the Post Band Version.

After the Vibe Mix and the Mood Mix that we got from Sky Blue since the last Full Moon, the Post Band Version has been released today on Bandcamp in the Full Moon Club. It dates from November 1990 and contains new vocals as well as drums, bass and guitar (Manu Katche, Tony Levin and David Rhodes).

Like the Mood Mix, this version also contains one line of lyrics from the song Lovetown. The finale, sung by the Blind Boys Of Alabama on the album version released 12 years later, is also included here (but of course without the Blind Boys). The song is a little faster than the other two versions, but still has an extended finale (without a fade-out) and is similarly long at six and a half minutes.

Gabriel’s Full Moon Club on Bandcamp provides fans with at least three tracks per month and costs £3 per month. A credit card is required for the subscription. You can find the Full Moon Club here.
