Italian journalist, musician and editor of the famous DUSK magazine Mario Giammetti has published many books about Genesis - all of the in Italian language. One of his most famous books is Gli Anni Prog from 2013, which reflects the Peter Gabriel years of the band from 1967-1975. A review about this edtion can be found on our website here.
On 8th May, this book will be published in English language by Kingmaker Publishing (this a joint venture between Big Big Train’s Greg Spawton and their manager and journalist Nick Shilton). It was translated by Octavia Brown.
The book contains several exclusive interviews, never before seen photos and special interviews carried out with members of the band during listen throughs of each of the band’s first six albums.
Greg Spawton comments: “I have been a huge Genesis fan since my youth and have read every book in existence about the band. Mario’s book contains a wealth of details about the Peter Gabriel era of Genesis that were previously unknown to me.”

Mario Giammetti - Genesis from 1967-1965: The Peter Gabriel Years comes in a high quality softcover, contains 252 pages and is fully colored.
It will be published on 8th May 2020 and can be preordered at burningshed.
