Phil Collins will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Phil Collins is among the musicians and bands set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026.
Last night, the new inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were announced during the American Idol TV series. Phil Collins is among them.
In recent years, there has been a major campaign aimed at getting Phil inducted as a solo artist ("GetPhilVotedIn"). He was finally nominated this year. Phil didn't win the popular fan vote, he came in second place there.
The other new inductees are Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan, Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Gram Parsons, Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, Rick Rubin and Ed Sullivan. This also confirms that the winners of the fan vote, New Edition, were not inducted. Shakira and Pink, who were also nominated, are not included either. The list has also been published on the official website.
This marks Phil Collins' second induction into the Hall of Fame – he was previously inducted with Genesis in 2010. Peter Gabriel has also been a member of the Hall of Fame as a solo artist since 2014. Phil says: "Obviously I'm pleased and honored to be inducted. It wraps up what has been a wonderful life in music".
This year's induction ceremony will take place on 14 November at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. However, it is currently completely unclear whether Phil will be there or whether he will perform.
