Steve Hackett: "Genesis Revisited II" on vinyl

The Steve Hackett album Genesis Revisited II is due for release on 13 November on vinyl as a 4LP set (180g).

In many ways, the second Genesis Revisited album transformed Steve Hackett's career. His shows became bigger and his tours longer. The album itself featured a host of guest artists, including Steven Wilson, Nad Sylvan, Simon Collins, John Wetton, Nike Kershaw, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Francis Dunnery, Jakko Jakszyk, Steve Rothery, Djabe, Neal Morse and Nick Beggs, amongst others.

For the album, Steve Hackett re-recorded 17 Genesis classics and 4 solo tracks. Ultimately, the album was more than just a follow-up to the first Revisited album, simply due to its scope; above all, however, the new recordings were closer to the originals this time round.

A reissue of the album on vinyl is now due to be released on 13 November. There is a 4-LP set, comprising two gatefold 2-LP sets housed in a slipcase. The album is pressed on high-quality 180g vinyl. A coloured version is available exclusively from Steve Hackett's webshop, where you can also get the black vinyl.
