I want to thank everyone for using “spoiler” because I have not yet seen a set list.
You’re in for a real treat. See you there!

Pssst…It’s “Caesars”
An IEM / aud mix of the show is being posted about.
Where?? Link?
Could be a number of things - maybe partly what you say, partly that particular city, the demographic on that specific evening... hard to say. Also, Methos perhaps wasn't citing a full-on negative reaction, rather that there was less enthusiasm for the 70s stuff. It'll be interesting to hear what tonight's audience is like
The newer stuff just hits way harder IMO. Mama, Land of Confusion, Domino…all bangers with excellent production. Lamb and Moonlit Knight for example…I respect them for what they are, but they just don’t translate nearly as well.
I wouldn’t say the PG stuff was poorly received at all, they just had a tough act to follow when the others set the bar so high.
Though I’m disappointed with the absence of the Fading Lights jam, Cinema Show was on point and so was Firth of Fifth.
***Excitement intensifies***
Less that 24 hours, it hasn't sunk in yet.
I know, right??
Tuesday is going to be the icing, but the anticipation for tomorrow has been untouchable.
I just wish they would have left at least a liiiittttle bit of the Fading Lights jam, then blend it into Cinema Show.
The transition just feels, dare I say, lazy and abrupt the way it is now.
Thanks! I’ll be sure to post after the show(s)
Perhaps it's not as important to newer fans
The lamb/Fading have mood, 2.5 hours of full on energy would be wearing.
I'd say you're probably right about the first part, but I wouldn't say I'm a newer fan. I've always thought IKWIL was kinda goofy.
Fading Lights is one of my favorites - It's a damn shame they snipped out the best part and pasted Cinema Show in there abruptly. Stoked to see it on the list none the less.
The energy thing though - agree to disagree. The new Lamb is a snoozer. Merch/beer break for me.
No Son + Dreaming
The absolute gem of the album though is by far Fading Lights.
Why did I click the spoiler? Disappointing that it wasn’t Abacab. Oooof.
I hope they just tack it on the set instead of dropping something. I thought it was kind of bogus they dropped Jesus He Knows Me and Hold On My Heart in the UK. The setlist shirts from the UK were kinda cool, but - they are all incorrect and it bothers me for whatever reason. I get it was a last minute decision, but - they had more than a year and a half of rehearsal time to figure it out.
ANYWAYS…
IF something gets dropped - I hope it’s “The Lamb”. That song has zero energy and is boring in it’s current form. I could do without “I Know What I Like” as well but that likely wont happen. My hopes is that it will be added in after Fading Lights/Cinema/Afterglow where Jesus/Hold once lived.
My fingers are crossed for some more surprises tomorrow night, but we’ll see. It’s going to be amazing either way!
First post on the boards - Hey everybody. Long time ‘Lurker’.
I’ll be at both nights and am beyond excited - especially considering these will be the first shows in the states since 2007 and likely the last (tour).
I wager I’m a bit younger than everyone else here, so consider yourself warned with my inevitable opinions that might ruffle a few of your feathers (Genesis related of course).
I’ll be in Chicago in less than 24 hours. Hard to believe the time has finally come. 👍🏼
