Although the original 'knebworth 78' broadcast wasn't complete and began with 'Squonk' which obviously came later in the show.....It still had that special kind of magic for me and remains my favourite concert recording of the band, I'm a little disappointed that 'Ripples' and 'The Lady Lies' have not been included as those versions are my personal favourites. The 'Wembley 1987' stuff I recorded myself at the time from the original broadcast and still sounds amazing for the year, so not fussed about that or the 'Knebworth 92' but I suppose calling it a 'BBC' collection, they have had to include at least some of these things that were broadcast. Would just be a buy to be completest really. Not exited about it at all. At least Archive 2 had some things on it that we never heard before - example being 'Burning Rope' from 'Houston 78'. Ahh well, at least it's SOMETHING!!

This thread seems to have gone of piste a bit, still no news of this 5cd box then I see! I wonder what Davis' meant by 'really soon', probably next year...

I prefer the original mixes including the 94 remasters, as do many other people, the gods may have got wind of that by now. Each to your own though. As usual I would prefer more unreleased live material, I suspect plenty others would prefer that as well over more re-issued studio and original live albums. Cheers.

Great to see more footage, went to Leeds on this tour, set was almost perfect.....the decision not to do Los Endos was appalling!

Unfortunately "surely" doesn't necessarily mean "did".
There was at least a BBC radio broadcast of it in edited form.
Yes I know, I recorded it when it was re broadcast on The Friday Rock show with Tommy Vance in 1982, I still have the cassette.

Surely they must have multi tracked Knebworth 78 with it being the only UK show that year.
