Incredible show!

Incredible show!
I'll be at the Houston show too!
Good thing that show won't be until October or else Peter will bake in the Texas heat as it is now
Is this festival available to watch replays, other than YouTube?
enjoy it! Just saw the amazing finale of the European tour (see Dublin thread)
I recall you said once that you came to Montreal in the past to see Genesis, are you considering coming over the pond to see PG?
Besides Montreal, there are also Canadian dates in Quebec City, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.
I hope they'll try to film the tour in the USA, as this show is truly magical and different from anything he's done before!
Or filmed in Canada. My show is #4 in Montréal on the new North American trek, I can't hardly wait!
I read a comment that ticket sales in Europe were not all that good which surprises me after seeing those enormous crowds from the pictures taken by Tony Levin at all the venues.
The shows in Montreal and Toronto are quite full or possibly sold out but now it is very difficult to see a sellout when the Ticketmaster site will always display resale tickets even if the show is sold out.
Hopefully a show will be filmed and recorded for a live album, the last Blu-Ray Front to Back was fantastic. Too bad the Rock & scissors tour with Sting was not released, I saw that one in 2016 but visually was not even half as spectacular as this one has proven to be.
And it won't be cheap considering that volume, the Roger Waters programme cost $45 that seemed a little too steep.
so far, nothing was filmed professionally (apart from cameras for screens). There are also no double shows this time, neither in Europe, nor in North America.
I guess that when the double shows are scheduled, it is intended to be filmed and the editor has the choice to pick the better takes for the final release.
Well, so maybe there is still a chance one of the remaining concerts in Europe or North America will be filmed, fingers crossed.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Yes, I can imagine it's disappointing not having the slides, as they're an integral part of the experience.
All in all though, I would urge you not to write them off just yet. Apparently they're doing the Selling England tour next year...
I'm only saying this because I've seen them about 8 times and they've all been great.
EDIT Just reread your previous post, so I now know you've seen them before. So fair enough.
Exactly! A Lamb show without slides is NOT a Lamb show and that night was very frustrating and puzzling.
But I've seen the Selling England show before (twice) and that one did have the original slides (Moonlit Knight) and backdrops, this next one should be good, I might give it a second thought and not write them off yet.
Has there been any concert so far on the Euro i/o tour to be considered for a Blu-Ray future release?
Went to see The Musical Box last week. And boy was I disappointed.
First, this was the first time that I have ever seen the Lamb lies down performed WITHOUT SLIDE PROJECTIONS. Incredible and no explanation was given why, I can only assume because the stage was too small but even so it was not really a lamb show.
And second, I was told that when the vocalist (Denis) does his interlude chats to the audience, the guitarists make annoying guitar tuning on purpose that was in fact very annoying.
And lastly, the encores were not like the original show (that I did see in 1974) but that's ok, I had never seen The Knife live. But in all, I think this was the last time I will go see these guys.
watching the YouTube Jeff beck tribute concert at RAH that were truly incredible, what musicians!
Yes, we will have individual threads for the shows in North America as well!
Good to know, I can't wait for those shows!
Doubtful, considering themusic.com no longer exists and is selling off all their old stock
That means that those of us lucky enough to have bought some of their live tour releases (The Who, Peter Gabriel and Genesis), now own valuable memorabilia never to be found available again.
13 additional dates confirmed
Ok, so we can each create a new thread for a Canadian concert like Montreal? Cool.
BTW everyone should check out Tony's pictures tour page, it is always a pleasure to see his posts!
I've seen the Musical Box 4 times and going on a 5th time next week; about the retirement, I think it would have to do with age.
I read a recent concert review in progressive ears saying that it is awkward to see a guy in his 50's (Denis) playing a supposedly "young" Real and looking way past the age for that role. It's about the image TMB wants to project and The Lamb show has lived its validity as an enduring tribute IMHO.
But I'll see next week in Halifax if they can still pull it off even with the age factor creeping in on them. Time is relentless and unforgiving.
Display MoreThese were authorized live soundboard recordings that were sold by themusic.com, by arrangement with the artist.
There were eight Gabriel tours, from 2003 to 2014 where (I believe) every show was recorded and sold as part of this Encore series.
I bought several of them over that stretch. They were a nice quality-sounding alternative to bootlegs
In addition to Gabriel, there was an Encore series during Genesis 2007 tour.
Other bands that did this in 2000s were The Who and Duran Duran.
I've never seen these recordings commercially available other than through themusic.com, so I would think nugs.net would have to obtain or purchase the rights to these recordings from that third party.
Is there any plan for this tour to be released in the Encore format from the Music.com?
