Pretty strange track, don't like it ....

Never though A Curious Feeling was that strong, for me Still and Strictly Inc are his best albums, but that's a different story.
AVS is indeed strange. But listening to the songs now, they may seems a bit odd, but it's also something Mike hasn't done before or after that. Apart from Hideaway, a classic Rutherford ballad ....
They should make this album available on CD

Very interesting idea to do a Record Store Day release (but I understand it was announced as "RSD first", not exclusive), then weit 2 weeks to put it out on iTunes. And a CD is next .... strange
Apart from that, Everybird is really a great tune

New THE SLOW SHOW songs from upcoming album.
Although I think they might be near their natural end (musically), this is really great stuff!
and, yes, also the new Mechanics tracks. What Would You Do is my favorite

The radio in the back - Illegal Alien?

It's quite interesting that Nad sounds different on his solo albums. Simply because he sings more naturally. The Genesis stuff is quite demanding for him - and of course it is. He needs to adapt to the way Phil AND Peter used to sing. On his solo stuff, he can sing as Nad wants to sing.
I recommend to give his solo albums a chance!

So, tonight is the first gig. Can't wait to see the setlist!

Don't think Mike is unfair here. He's got his view on things but in the end it all proves there's still a demand for the old Genesis classics.

Testify is a great track indeed, but there a quite a few things on that album which are simply below average.
Driving Me Crazy, You Touch My Heart, This Love This Heart.
Other tracks are okay, like Through My Eyes or Swing Low, but it's nothing special to me.
After Dance Into The Light, which I enjoyed a lot, it was raher disappointing for me

Great news!
Any chances for a live album?
Will there be another studio album?
Remasters of earlier albums?
-
I bought the first album, but didn't follow what they were doing - although I quite liked the tracks on the album. Just checked the track you mentioned - that's a nice one, but quite simple, more radio rock.
-
Sounds like a nice combination to me!

Some of the new members may not have seen this poll. Still interesting for me that certain albums are ranked quite high. What do you think?

That has to be Face Value and Hello, I Must Be Going!
Was thinking about picking Both Sides, but still this is not as good as the second one.

Hi everybody
I was wondering how many different Genesis tours you all have seen.
So, a simple poll!
Maybe also let us know how many shows you have seen from each tour

I have chose some rather unusual tracks - that I want to hear live. And I have included the EPs ...
The Conqueror
Stagnation
Seven Stones
Get'em Out By Friday
Firth Of Fifth
The Waiting Room
Mad Man Moon
Blood On The Rooftops
Inside And Out
Deep In The Motherlode
Heathaze
Like It Or Not
You Might Recall
Just A Job To Do
Tonight Tonight Tonight
Living Forever
The Dividing Line

I love that track. And Phil sings that in a one really outstanding way. Which also means that chances he'd throw that in during his current tour are rather slim...

Oh, that could be an interesting idea. I am in Italy in July so perhaps it will work out for me.
Steve obviously has an affection for Italy. Not the first time that he is doing some summer extras there ...?
-
Everybird obviously - and it looks like the new version of Party Man could be interesting. In two weeks we will know!

11 points. It's an interesting transformation of this song. Time signatures obviously changed. I also like Paul's voice on that one. This is of course not Prog, bit it's a decent pop song. Nothing wrong with that.
