Not sure about that. The FFFT was never intended to be a tour to support or promote Testify (or Brother Bear).
But I agree - a new album would be great.

We should actualy be grateful that all other guys are still around and recording / touring more or less frequently. One day that'll all be gone
So, Brand X were on that Cruise as well. I hope they will tour Europe one day. Looks like they put on a great show.
Thanks to Niklas - was fun reading it!
No matter what we think about this tour - it seems like the majority is really enjoying it. This tour seems to be going on forever. I wonder if there's a chance for a new album ...
Thanks for the service! And yes, great idea to include some piece of Genesis-history in the artwork
Oh dear ...
I nearly fogot how insane this discussion was at times. Thanks for compiling and bringing this feature to our attention. Weird stuff, but a great read.
I acatully hope it won't happen. But something tells me it might not be that unrealistic any more - at least the "small" version with Tony, Mike and Phil ... and Nic
I think the tracks are likeable enough; they're just not spectacular.
That's a good summary of the thread
It's actually the problem of the album. It feels a bit lost but several tracks are really good. Over the years I learned to like "Undertow" and dislike "Scenes From A Night's Dream".
And yes, "Snowbound" has always been a favorite of mine.
I am sure it was an important album for the band - they needed to prove it works without Steve and they have moved forward in terms of songwriting and sound. They lost a bit of their strength, which was always a great atmosphere thoughout the albums. They eventually got that back later.
A nice and funny track from the early days. I like the lyrics and the kind-of-childish atmosphere.
"like a fool in the pool ..."
wonderful!
Few more countries this year, but still nothing in the UK / Ireland or any major tour outside Germany and Poland. Will that happen someday?
Thanks!
So, 5,000 copies. Seems to me that's quite a lot? But it's a Picture Disc, so at the end of the day I am grateful there will be a digital version as well!
Curious what Phil will play down under. Do you expect setlist changes? I remember there was a rule that oversea artists had to include Australian artists in their live band? is that still the case?
Thanks for posting, a nice article. Can't believe that man is 50 already.
Just found this thread.
Apparently I used to listen to live recordings much more in the past. I don't call them bootlegs, because I never had a passion for CD-pressings in that manner. I got plenty of them somewhere, most of them soundboard recordings or radio broadcasts. Don't listen to them much these days.
Maybe the Board Tapes project can change that - but that is obviuously not realistic to expect.
When there's time I like to listen to an album in its entirety, Problem is: We Can't Dance or The Lamb are very long, so that applies most to Trick or Nursery Cryme.
He probably records a lot of stuff for his library music, material he is contracted to produce - some of it is accepted, not all of it, and that probably leaves him with a lot of recorded material that he can either refurbish or release at a later date.
I also think that's a good explanation. I am on the one hand fascinated by the load of material he produces, but on the other hand - wouldn't it be nice to hear a proper rock / prog album by Ant again?
Saw them as well during their European tour and I must admit I wasn't too sure about the new concept.
But it worked. I already came across that review a few days ago. I may not be as enthusiastic as the reviewer, but whoever is thinking about going - do it!
It's certainly worth the experience!
I was really blown away by the first part, while the second one did leave me a bit cold. Third part was safer ground then, althugh it contained some surprises as well.
That's a tough one!
Selling England
Duke
The Lamb
Trick Of The Tail
Foxtrot
We Can't Dance
Nursery Cryme
Wind & Wuthering
Shapes
Abacab
Calling All Stations
Invisible Touch
Trespass
And Then There Were Three
From Genesis To Revelation
but it could be different next week. It's also looks quite strange to see Shapes or Abacab more towards the bottom of my list - but hey, I think they didn't make really bad albums, so it's okay.
That's an outstanding track. It's a shame Phil didn't play that more often during later tours. I came across this on a bootleg recording quite some years ago. Took me some time to figure out it was a Brand X track. Full score!
Another track that's neary perfect. It kind of combines the more melody-driven later period with the prog-times in the 70ties. It would have been a nice very last track for the band and that was obviously on Tony's mind when he wrote the lyrics. 14 points
That's 14 points from me - a nearly pefect tune! I also like the version played during the Growing Up Tour with the a capella intro!
