I will be happy and believe it when they really do it. Enough speculation ...

I listened to this yesterday. I've been listening to the whole of the Rockonteurs podcast and it's been pretty excellent stuff. The Nile Rodgers episode in particular was fantastic.
I really enjoyed the episode with Mike. He sounds in very good form, and more open than I expected for some reason. Some conciliatory noises towards Steve I thought too.
The usual self deprecating stuff from Mike, and I would thoroughly recommend everyone has a listen.
same here! Far better than the Collins Podcast, actually

Did Daryl really play guitar on The knife?

Any news about the the edition of the first album? A bit strange we haven’t heard more about that ...
-
... and Hoping love will last!
I enjoy the 5.1 mix a lot. Great album! Maybe Steve’s best?

I pretty much like all eras, but of course I don’t like all the tracks. Genesis fans tend to speak about “real Genesis” (often defined as the early years) or, even worse, don’t accept CAS as a proper Genesis album. I always wonder why. You may not like it, but the band decided what they released as Genesis, not the fans.
I know some die hard fans from other bands, they seem to be more relaxed (also Floyd fans, who are often discussing the split with Waters) -
Wonderful quality!
since I am not that familiar with early shows: was the foxes head still a regular part of the show in early 73? When did they switch to the old man costume? -
That made me laugh! Never saw this before. Thx for sharing!

Not really, but look at the box sets etc.
Genesis really know how to miss a trick don't they? An RSD release of Lyceum 1980 this year would have got a lot of people talking. Some good publicity for the tour. The three man line-up at the peak of their powers etc. Oh well!
They were never good at that. Boxsets, anniversaries, taking opportunities, serving/ doing something for the fans. Not their strength. Look at the Mechanics. They have shut down their official website. It now links to the Genesis website ... where you find (apart from the tour and merch) - nothing!

It also wasn't one of their best performaces ... no wonder with another full show ahead in the evening.

a lot of Depeche Mode recently. Especially "Ultra" and "Exciter", both albums didn't really make it into my favorites list when they came out, but they were constantly growing.

There were rumors Ray would sing the last verse - any info whether or not that was recorded?
-
if any members of the forum have any communication with anyone who could get the boxes re issued the same as the first time I would be over the Moon!.
I second that!

Happy birthday!
Didn't know John what approx 3 years older than the others

Thanks for sharing. Fascinating interview and nice to read a completely different view on things!
Peter also did a bit of German singing durin the warm up tou 2007 - did Konigstein also help him there? Obviously not in 2014, when he did Flood in German during the German shows ...

oh ...
just when you thought there might be a year without a Hackett live album, he proves us wrong
but why not? The Djabe stuff is also a bit different. Will check this out.

It makes me wonder why Phil didn’t discuss this in his book. Subject to speculation of course ... but it looks to me he just didn’t want to discuss this.
probably it will come up in an interview some time in the future -
I don't expect too much, but this may indeed be the first time Tony Smith & company are dealing with this album "properly" (whatever that means, since we all know they are not really doing decent releases of the back catalogue)

Episodes 3 and 4 are now also available
