Usually I don't really check the yellow press, but someone pointed me at this link

So, Genesis are right now rehearsing? Did anybody hear something more detailed?

Hey everyone...
I recently spent some time with Both Sides, particularly B-Sides and live stuff. I quite like the instrumental tracks Rad dudeski and Don´t call me Ashley, but I was wondering how these two were written and recorded, since it sounds like a proper "band", rather than songs based on demos, like the rest of the album.
Does anybody know whether or not other musicians were involed during the recording of these two tracks? Is there any backstory about Rad dudeski or Don´t call me Ashley?
thx!
That sounds promising. Wasn't too convinced by his last couple of 5.1 mixes (concert films). Have ordered the 2CD/Blu-ray. I think that's enough for me.
Phil Collins - There's A Place For Us
During his Untour shows, Ray has presented a couple of new tracks. One could have assumed those wohl end up on his new album, but it looks like they will remain what they are - hidden (corona) gems.
These tracks are:
I'm Going Home
Look What They Made Us Be
Almost Famous
Something I Hold On To
They are available in his backstage section (scroll down to 'jukebox')
https://raywilson.net/backstage/
I like "Look What They Made Us Be"
Have you checked them out? What are your thoughts?
I have picked
Only you know and I know
(don't ask why, I simply love it)
Inside Out
Take Me Home
Listening to the album today, it sounds a bit outdated to me. Looks like (other than FV), the production doesn't stand the text of time?
My choices were Domino, Tonight... and Brazilian.
But more recently, I somehow developed an affection for Anything She Does. Anyone else here who likes this tune?
I always liked I Don't Wanna Know and Who Said I Would
And, yes: Long Long Way To Go is one of his better ballads
Display MoreSome track names are wrong, please correct that!
why not stick tongue scheme Harold introduced with his Favorite tracks polls? (Genesis albums).
my choiceHang in long enough
I wish it would rain down
Find a way to my heart
Thank you
I have picked Colours, Something Happened and I Wish It Would Rain Down
There's some tracks missing. What about Pacidy, Let Us Now Make Love, Shepherd, Sea Bee, Hair On The Arms And Legs,....... there's a lot on Archive I Disc 4.
And my top favourite remains The Light, a live-only track as can be heard on some bootlegs. Another obscure early live-only tracks would be The One-Armed Drummer. And among the Ray Wilson non-album tracks you missed Nowhere Else To Turn.
well, I tried to focus on tracks that were part of EPs and Single releases, that's why stuff like Nowhere else to turn or the Archive Disc 4 tracks were left out. They were never part of any single or EP release.
An obvious contradiction might be the Jackson Tape stuff .... but that was part of the green boxset, so I included them.
I don't have inside info, but remembering how the Collins tour happened, it doesn't seem to be that unrealistic, especially since Phil won't do a massive amount of shows in a row.
This video was released a while ago
and Man with a stick was released a year ago or so (or even earlier than that). so far, all great tracks!
I want to see them indoors. Much better. They're gearing up for an indoor show. An arena show is a while different thing. Hoping all will be good in April. Time to think other things if and when it becomes apparent April's no good.
apparently it's quite obvious they will do stadiums elsewhere when they have the chance to do it. But let's see what will happen to the UK shows first.
Oh another Genesis song poll. This time it's about Non Album Tracks. I have included tracks that have been released officially and tried to avoid just alternate versions of known tracks (including live recordings).

I think you're way off on this. If "someone" had lost enthusiasm and didn't want to go ahead with the tour, then why not cancel the European leg, too?
The tour dates and venues are decided by the management, not the band, and according to Tony Smith the indicators from America were that there was not sufficient interest to justify Genesis touring there. These decisions are not based purely on album sales - if you recall, Phil's Dance Into The Light album performed quite poorly but people still wanted to see him in concert and his Trip Into The Light tour was as successful as any other he'd performed - and Tony would have not taken the decision lightly.
the tour was planned long before there were any album sales. and they they stripped it down to smaller venues, which didn't help. Guess it was both, bad timing and the Collins factor. America is a difficult market. Queen have made this experience as well without changing the vocalist.
Supper's Ready, Horizons and Get'm Out By Friday for me. With the exception of Time Table, all tracks are on a similar level, which makes it difficult to pick one's favorites.
