... nevertheless, interesting to see that pt1 of HBTS seems to be more popular than pt2 ...?

Happy new year everybody!
I'd like to carry on with the album song polls. So this time it's Genesis - or the album knows as "Shapes". Select three tracks as usual
Previous Polls (still running!)
Your favorite tracks on ... "Invisible Touch"
Your favorite tracks on ... "We Can't Dance"

I only bought the digital remixes. And they sound quite fresh! Also like the alternate version of High Hopes
What about the Blu-rays and the 5.1 mixes. Can anybody tell us something about that?

Interesting to see W&W ranked higher than The Lamb....

I'd like to carry on with the album song polls. So this time it's Invisible Touch. Although it only has eight tracks, let's still to the "pick three" scheme.

So, after the first album song poll for Calling All Stationss (have a look here) I thought it's time to continue with the next album
Choose your three favorite tracks from We Can't Dance.

The title track seems to be the fan favorite here.
I always thought The Dividing Line was the strongest one on this one ...

Probably didn't help that I was deeply ensconced with Trespass and The Lamb at the same time I bought this album way back in 1986....
well, that's a tough competition. I always try to avoid later stuff with tracks from their earlier work. It's a different approach and I do like a lot of their later work. Question is: does it make sense to rate something older as "better" in comparison with more recent stuff?
Anyway, I gave 12 points. Always thought that the sound on IT and this track in particular is very strong, stright forward, direct, a bit aggressive. Love the 5.1 version, too!

Sounds like an interesting concept... perhaps next year in this forum ??

Let's wait for shows outside the UK. I'm sure they will add some in 2021.
Will never get tired of Genesis Revisited

That review (what a great work!) really helped to access the tracks more than I did before. Thanks for this!

Same here. I wasn't too familiar with his catalogie, but some tracks are really great. "Nightmare" is awesome!
And obviously they also digged out a rare track with "Something Blue". As far as I can see Anthony never completed that song properly?

Interesting review! Have ordered it already - will let you know what I think once I heard it!
-
Interesting results so far - although I expected Congo and Not About Us to be more popular.
-
I bought it and have been listening to it for a while now and I must say - I love it!
Still trying to find favorite tracks (not easy to remember them when listening via smartphone), butt it surely is an impressive body of work.

Regarding the 'anger' stuff - those songs, such as Do You Know, Do You Care & I Don't Care Anymore are far more effective than the weary resignation of I've Forgotten Everything., If that says more about me than it does about Phil, it can't be helped. He did something unique with the earlier songs - and ITAT, of course. He doesn't do that with the Both Sides songs.
You got a point here
But ... stuff like We're Sons Of Our Fathers and Survivors wasn't something I was expecting at the time. I like both tracks because they are quite unique.

wonderful article! Many thanks for posting. Enjoyed reading a lot!
Will there be more 50 years ago stuff on the website?
-
Great news! Looking forward to seeing that show. Who else will go?

Hey ev'ryone
I thought it could be cool to discuss the favorite tracks of each Genesis album, starting the the latest ending with the debut.
So, this is Calling All Stations.
The idea is to add a poll every few weeks, but never close any of them, so you can always vote, interesting for new members also.
So here we are - Calling All Stations!
