That is such a nice idea! Don't know why they didn't do this on previous occasions. Now I regret I couldn't be at one of the shows ....

Voted! Thanks for mentioning it.
PS: To me, it doesn't look like a strong list of nominations (in general). What do you think about it?

Nice track - a good one. There are better Mechanics tracks so I think 10 points is reasonable.
-
Their best album IMO , criminally underrated!
Wouldn‘t go that far, but obviously it didn’t and doesn’t get the credit it deserves. There are a couple of nice tracks on it. Maybe it’s simply too long? Who knows, but imagine this album had 10 or 11 tracks only.

It’s a nice package. Still a shame they won‘t continue with the 5.1 releases, though.
Any news about possible new mixes, especially for the Laster albums?

I like the way must be a vinyl rip. I have no idea why they do this. They must have the master tapes somewhere.... disappointing

Looks like he only played 19 tracks in Vienna. Nice to see there are at least minor changes, but it is a bit strange, though. It's more or less NJR material he varies.
There are a couple of tracks that would please the crowd I am sure, such as Both sides ... or We wait and we wonder. Can't stop loving you as well, even something from Going back ...

James, I agree to what you have pointed out. We all hope things are better / ok now!
On the other hand, as Backdrifter said, it's the general thing about waiting and waiting .... we can only guess how much material Peter has in his archives ... or unfinished stuff. His work mode must be very strange.

Thanks a lot for this report. Would love to hear the stuff they played. But I assume that will never be released.

I checked out The Backlist .... and now I am addicted
-
I bought Wise... and Invisible Men and quite enjoy both albums. I will check out the other stuff. Thanks for your suggestions!

This is party man is my favorite. I like the unfinished lyrics.
then Nocturnal and Everybird.

I recently re-discovered his early work / first four. All 4 of them have some standout tracks:
Hierophant
Icarus *
Spectral
Steppes
* in my opinion
listening to Defector, it has a bit of a farewell feeling, like closing a chapter. It took Steve several years to record really great albums again.

Anyone familiar with "Death And Vanilla"???
Wonderful stuff, just discovered it during the weekend.
I also listen to Steve's Spectral mornings a lot these days.
-
About time - but I'd prefer a physical release. Doesn't look like that's going to happen.
-
I don't even own that album. Maybe it's time to give Ant's work another chance. I know most of Geese and bits of Sides and some of his later stuff. Any recommendations where to start?

... travelling to Germany for the Night of the prog festival. Can't wait to see this show!

I am sure it would be a great show. But he's doing GENESIS REVISITED or something similar for years now, so why not try something different?

SO, PASSION and US
I think this "trilogy" is simply outstanding. US sounds a if Peter had combines the world music on PASSION with the pop on SO.
