That really is interesting. Bought tickets, don’t want to miss that!
Curious how the choir will fit in

Never saw this before - thanks so much for posting!
I also prefer forums. Facebook groups are a mess these days. Plenty of them and too much crap posts ...
I must say. The solo excerpt made me laugh - it's obviously simply not for Mike. There was also a lot of discussion elsewhere. But in the end it's like halb a minute of a 2 hours gig - so is that really THAT important?
Not sure
As Roachford said in an interview for this site (https://www.genesis-news.com/c…11th-April-2019-s714.html) people come for Mechanics songs. I can live with a Roachford track and a Genesis track but three is too much IMO. There are plenty of great tracks around from the Mechanics.
Problem with Testify probably is: He could have taken a different direction, at least production wise. In some ways, he did, but he was not very brave or innovative. So in the end you have a couple of nice songs with average production and others which sinply sound awful.
Still, I'd love to hear a complete stripped down record. Like the stuff Rubin did with Jonny Cash
Funny idea!
Ok.
It's One O Clock .... I Know What I Like
Match Of The Day
Snowman - Snowbound
Fox - The Musical Box
Selling England By The Pound
The Globe ... Around The World in 80 Presets?
Cat - Cats & Rats in this Neighburhood?
Interesting read indeed. Also nice to see that Roachford ist still taking his solo carreer seriously and a four piece band should be right thing for his tour. Will try to get to one of his shows.
Let Me Fly was a nice album, the new one is not for me.
Other than that, they seem to do well, given rather complicated circumstances (full schedules etc)
Thanks for all these updates! I hope they will play in more Western parts of Europe one day. From what I have seen / heard, that's really an intersting combination!
I only have his first one, Courting the widow, which was okay but for me not top notch. Can anyone say something about the second album?
14 points. Red Rain is near perfection! It's funny that it always made him struggle in concert...
this the Milan show from May 2003?
indeed. 8/9 May 2003, Filaforum. I believe No Way Out and Come Talk To Me were played as well, but not used. Here Comes The Flood was recorded twice during the first show. Same happened with Growing Up during the second show.
He has also recorded Secret World Live there.
It's as stunning as frustrating how many side projects keep Peter from doing a new album. Iremember it was the same with UP, but that took him only 10 years to complete (or let's say 8, after the end of the Secret World Tour).
Thanks for posting the link!
There are better cover versions than this.
ok, let's see ....
The Silent Sun
Mama
Calling All Stations
The Brazilian
White Mountain
Me And Sarah Jane
Deep In The Motherlode
In The Cage
Cinema Show
Duke's Travels
In That Quiet Earth
The Musical Box
Supper's Ready
Los Endos
Encore:
Fading Lights
12 points from my side. Not my favorite on the record, but obviously a strong track. And stronger than anything post Both Sides ...
Thanks!
That's really an interesting list. Shame they never recorded the show. But it was 1974/5, not the nineties ...
Rutherford plays guitar on "Harmonia" - that's really a nice tune! In fact the album is quite interesting, thanks for sharing the news!
Thanks for your posts about the new show
I saw them many many times and thought i'd skip this tour. But maybe I should go ....
