It's a lot better as a whole album than the tracks released to promote it.

Sorry Steve you've lost me. This just sounds horrible. Doubt I'll buy the album.

Well, based on the music alone that was better than I was expecting based on the comments so far! The samples give it a bit of a feel of one of the tracks on Darktown, The Golden age of steam, maybe? It's ok.

Great review of Steve's best acoustic album. A classic.

Saw them at Stockton last Saturday - apart from a wobble during the first song (Back in NYC) where the keyboards didn't work for most of the song - it was a great gig. A particularly storming performance of Giant Hogweed followed Back In NYC.

A great song from their best album. 14 points.

Very good 2nd show in Stockton tonight. Highlights included the acoustic set, a medley of Genesis and mechanics numbers.

I can't believe there seems to no mention of this bloke on the forum.
Superb covers on piano:
Apparently he released an album in 2008 https://open.spotify.com/album/58lIoIpxUEtjvNaFyh18Da -
I think I've listened to it twice and got bored halfway through the second time. The Night Siren and Beyond The Shrouded Horizon are much better albums.

I wonder if the master tapes are lost. Can't think of another reason why no 5.1 mix for this album.

The album is Please Don't Touch. Not sure of the track - maybe Carry On up the Vicarage?

Great show last night. Phil's performance has definitely improved since the first shows. He forgot the words to the first part of Domino but who cares! Tony even smiled during the band intros

The latest email from Genesis has the unbelievable typo Watcher In The Skies! Good job the band are checking these emails...
Also what was the answer to the number of drummers question?

Tickets for Newcastle are in the Ticketmaster app

Some random picks from solo careers...
Steve: Beyond the Shrouded Horizon, Darktown, The Night Siren are all good, strong albums. Voyage, PDT also great.
Peter: Got a soft spot for PG1 and 2, So, Us. PG3 and 4 are groundbreaking.
Mike: Smallcreeps Day and Beggar are classics.
Ant: PP&Ps 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8. Slow Dance.
Ray: Song for a Friend is a classic album.
Phil: But Seriously..., Both Sides.
Tony: The Fugitive, Still.

Good selection apart from Many Too Many being missing.

I can live without HOMH. What about some gems like Many Too Many?
