I got a ticket for Toronto, second row in front of the stage for about $260 USD. I figured that seat would be much more expensive and I wasn't expecting to get it. Granted, this was not part of a VIP package. Those were going for about $600-$800 USD. But I'm not sure how Ticketmaster dynamic pricing is factoring into that.

Is today's pre-sale going to require a code? I didn't see one in the full moon email

I own a promotional copy of this, as shown in the photo. One of my favorite pieces in my collection!

Interesting! I've never heard of this show before. Would this be the last Genesis gig with Phil Collins until the MMF awards in 2000?

Definitely excited to hear this mix, and releasing 2 mixes of every song is an interesting idea, but the wording of the Full Moon Club email today again suggests that Peter is going to release every song monthly before the album comes out. And I just don't see the point of that. If that's truly the case, I won't be listening to any more tracks (other than Panopticom, which I've already heard) until the full album is released, so that I/O will be new music to me.

Should Peter's contributions to Colin Scot's self-titled album from 1971 and his flute playing on a track off Cat Steven's 1970 album Mona Bone Jakon be included in the compendium?

The question mark at the end of the tour name has been changed to an exclamation point

The lack of a concert film is frustrating for those of us who really love the band and want to see everything they do recorded for posterity (and those of us who were unable to attend this tour).
But I think your reaction to this news depends on your mindset towards the tour in general. I don’t see The Last Domino tour as a comeback or even a farewell tour. In my mind, 2007 remains the band’s proper ‘farewell tour’, with plenty of promotional releases and a concert film with Phil still performing to a high standard. TLD happened just because Tony, Mike, and Phil wanted to play together again and give fans one last chance to see the band live. On top of that, we did get a documentary that gave us an honest and sometimes painful look at the struggles that Phil was facing with his health and his singing ability, and I’m thankful for that.
I don’t think Genesis viewed this tour as such a big event like the TIOA tour. 2007 was the conclusion to the Genesis story; this tour is the epilogue and so no blu-ray release is really necessary. Which goes back to what Christian said about the band never really considering it.

Amazing work, everyone! With the release of the new box set, I'll definitely be referring back to the compendium

That's why they recorded the production pre tour
True, but if they do release a DVD from this tour, I really hope it contains footage from the actual concerts, not just the rehearsal show.
On a separate but related note: I wonder if there's any video of the earlier rehearsals, including some of the songs they rehearsed that didn't make the set, like Abacab, Musical Box, Jesus He Knows Me

At least from where I was sitting, the audience seemed more enthusiastic tonight in Buffalo than the first night in Toronto (I didn't go to the second night there). Some funnier moments included the crowd trying to sing happy birthday to Daryl but never managing to get lined up and Phil saying to Daryl "That was Happy Birthday, I think!". Also Phil spoke to a person in the audience who was holding a sign that said "Ripples". Phil said "You can rest your arms, there's no way we're gonna play Ripples"

The show tonight was great! Phil sounded pretty much as I expected him to, but I don't think he missed any lyrics in Domino, which was definitely a highlight for me. Duchess, I Know What I Like, Carpet Crawlers, and Nic doing the ICD dance (walk?) during I Can't Dance were also highlights. Prior to this tour, I had really accepted the fact that I would never get a chance to see Genesis live, but I'm so glad the boys in the band gave me that experience

Can't help but laugh at what has to be one of the most poorly written articles on the tour I've read. Phil Collins wasn't able to join this tour due to health problems?? Who was singing then? The audience doesn't realize Phil is sitting down? 😂

Excited to see this latest addition to the series of Ant Phillips box sets, especially with even more previously unreleased early 70s recordings. The inclusion of Pennsylvania Flickhouse is interesting as well. Do we know if this the same version that was released about 10 years ago now for the Genesis fan club anniversary, or some recently re-discovered demo version?

Here's the latest article in the ongoing saga of Phil Collins's Alamo collection, if anyone's interested. This one focuses less on the question of the authenticity of his collection, and more on how it should be used to tell the story of the Alamo

Show was 1hr 15mins late owing to generator failure. But they played the full show finishing around 11:30. The crowd were very appreciative as there was some concern at the beginning.
Band sounded great as you’d expect. PC was on good form and playing the showman. Definitely struggling at times but in a live context fine (Would be different on a live recording I think). The key changes didn’t bother me as much as I thought they would.
The set list was the same as Birmingham as you’d expect but for me it really was very 80s/90s heavy. The few 70s tracks weren’t enough to re-balance it for me. One or two surprises like Dance on a Volcano or One For The Vine would’ve been nice. Especially with the lack of Los Endos.
Would love to have seen some of those 70s shows but we take what we can get. The atmosphere was great.Lots of technical difficulties yesterday! Generator problems and flat tire on the tour bus. I guess that's what happens with such a large production. Glad they still played the whole set!
