Harold is like a precursor to Bohemian Rhapsody.

The day I was born, "Butterfly" by Danyel Gerard was Nr. 1 here in Germany (curiously it's also the first non-children's song I remember singing to myself as a child, though it can't have been that early??). The UK's number 1 was "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep". At least the Americans showed some taste with "It's too late" by Carole King.

Kate would have gone for it. Think of the German language interludes in Coffee Homeground and Hello Earth.

Very seventies-ish. A cross between Jeff Beck and Jan Akkerman. No wonder SH is a fan.

I'm sure Ian Anderson won't show up, either (if he's still alive!), when they finally induct Jethro Tull in about 2030.

These days Mike seems to disregard anything that predates the Mama album, be it Genesis or solo.
I like Smallcreep's Day a lot and think it's one of the best solo releases by any Genesis member. A wonderful re-teaming of Mike and Ant. Also, as a Genesis fan, after I had first listened to it I actually felt much wiser as to what Mike's contribution had been to the albums from the 1970s.

I have the albums up to and including Hold Your Fire and like them all, except HYF. That one's first two tracks are okay, while the rest sounds somewhat half-hearted to me. I read they stopped progressing afterwards and instead returned to their older sound to appease fans, so I lost interest. After reading some glowing praise here I may give their later work a chance someday.

With the snow-covered trees, the spirit of Christmas and tradition in the air, there something about the music of Jethro Tull that always just feels so appropriate for me at this time of year.
No snow-covered trees here, but something made me dig out several Tull albums, too, so there must be something to it.

I've found it!
(roughly 1:23 to 2:06)
Actually, Ant doesn't talk about an "ultimate edition", but you'd expect more than just a run of the mill release from Cherry Red.

I can't find it, either. It might have been an audio interview. But I haven't dreamt it!
