shame for Scotland and Ireland...and of course no shows were in Wales! ..😔
I think the biggest surprise is nothing for the traditional Genesis stronghold of Italy.

Looks like they brought back the UK setlist in DC (Duchess is back. Misunderstanding is out.)
Not to sound callous, but at $500+ a ticket, they could perform both songs. It's an mere additional 4-5 minutes on stage. I think they could hack it (hackett?)
I would much rather have both songs in every show. I enjoy them both overall. But if I could have only one, it would definitely be Duchess.
Having said that, it would be nice if they considered alternating Duchess and Misunderstanding at the venues where they are playing multiple shows.
Too late for Chicago, but for multi-night stands, I'd put Duchess at the 1st show, for the diehard fans who bought tickets right away. And Misunderstanding for the 2nd show, for the more casual fans who took their time buying tickets. I don't know.
Whatever, they're going to play what they want.
I don't think they've made any announcement yet on Glasgow. I suppose it's possible they can still sandwich that one in before London. (Though I do predict it will eventually be cancelled.)
Yup.... looks like they dumped Duchess and added Misunderstanding.
Not happy.
Perhaps Misunderstanding won't be at every show. Maybe it would be a swap in the markets with multiple shows (Chicago, NYC, Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston)
Yes, I realize they didn't swap anything in the multi-night stays in the UK, but who knows...
Please don't let them kick out Duchess!
If something has to go, let it be the acoustic Lamb.
(I applaud them for trying something different, but that arrangement is not my cup of tea.)
I was just on Ticketmaster, looking at opening night on the 15th.
https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/04005A94BBAB1B51
They released a bunch of new front floor seats and more 100 level too. I'm talking about the official regular seats (blue dots on the seating chart), NOT the resale seats (red dots)
But the weird thing is how they re-priced the regular seats. They now have a bunch of front floor seats at $350, which previously cost $500.
And they now have new 100 level seats at $385, which previously cost $300.
And now I just rechecked the 2nd Chicago show on the 16th.

Ticketmaster is doing weird things there too. The front floors are still $500 on the 16th. But now the 100 level seats are down to $250, instead of $300.
Has there been any news regarding the band's recovery status? I know their health is their own private matter, but just curious how they're doing, and hope they're feeling back to normal by now...
(My breakthrough case knocked me out for about 8 or 9 days, and then I was fine... but I'm younger, in my mid-40's.)
I CANT BELIEVE THEY PLAYED XXXXXXX INSTEAD OF YYYYYYY!!
Don't you mean X or Z?
I guess Phil changed his mind
I really don't think so. I think the "Genesis won't exist after 2021" report was always a simple misunderstanding.
I think he just meant to say that Genesis won't exist after this tour. (Which I do believe will be the case.)
But I never believed that the tour would have a mandatory end date of December 31, 2021.
Not after so much money has been invested and so many rehearsals.
I never for a moment believed that there was hard line that Genesis was done as of December 31, 2021.
I always interpreted Phil's comments as "Genesis will not exist after this tour."
But not necessarily ending in 2021. I assumed the tour was going to continue for a few months into 2022. Even before the UK postponements.
Both my parents had the 3rd jab and a flu jab and still also caught this cold bug somehow.
I don't really look at the vaccinations as a way to completely prevent yourself from getting Covid.
Just think of it as a way to prevent hospitalization for when you do catch a breakthrough case.
(I had a breakthrough case after being double vaccinated. Wasn't the end of the world. If I didn't have that second jab it would've likely have been much much worse. I've since just got my third booster jab last week.)
I've seen numerous mentions of the rescheduled London shows today.
But I haven't seen anyone mentioned the new US show added.
Brooklyn, NY - Barclays Center - December 11, 2021

"Fourth and FINAL NYC area show"
Anyway, this is good news for the US tour because that obviously means they're confident that it will still go ahead as planned. Otherwise, they wouldn't add this right now.
(I've been waiting for updates on the US tour, so I can book my travel plans for Philadelphia. I guess it's "safe" now to do it...)
Being fully vaccinated isn't everything, as a lot of older people are now getting boosters.
I was double vaccinated as of early April but I still wound up with a breakthrough case at the end of August. Thankfully it was very mild. Just a bad headache for a few days and a low-grade fever.
Just got my 3rd booster jab the other day.
I predict they'll just tack these make-up shows, along with Ireland, onto the schedule of the inevitable 2022 tour dates.
Yes I know Phil said they would not be continuing next year, but I do not believe it. I still fully believe they'll do a few months' worth next year, before wrapping it up.
We shall see.
Since the tour is skipping Florida, I'm flying up to Philly. As of now, I only have tickets to the 2nd show. (Front row of the lower level, right near the stage.)
I may go to the other Philly show too, if I can score a cheap last minute ticket. (Already paid a fortune for the 2nd show!)
I'm travelling with a buddy who I saw the 1992 tour with, back when we were still in high school. So this is almost our 30th Genesis anniversary.
I travelled from Florida in 2007 for two of the 3 Philly shows that tour. Amusingly, my 2021 seat is located in the exact same section, row and seat number as one of those two 2007 shows. What are the odds?
Tony Banks
Peter Gabriel
Steve Hackett
Mike Rutherford
with Nic Collins
I would go to that concert.
