I agree with most of the comments here. Probably the strongest track on i/o.

And through the wire, No self control, I don't remember are my choices!
But I could also choose Intruder, Lead a normal life and Family snapshot ...
Without a doubt one of their Top 5 tracks. For me, it's their definite track!

Steve's solo stuff is still on my Genesis "bucket list". I own a couple of his albums and follow what he does, I saw him live a couple of times but I wouldn't say I am a fan or know his stuff. Especially some of his later stuff is something I need to discover (post "Cured").
Based on what you have posted, "Guitar Noir" plus some of the albums that came later might be a good start ...
I live in the United Kingdom, prices of these in the UK work out a little more than buying direct from
Acoustic Sounds , postage is quicker also as most places over here have these on back order so you are waiting for quite a time. Price of these currently in the UK is 165 and 85 and 10 postage so £260. I have paid £171 to have them shipped from America and duty won’t cost me £90 so fractionally cheaper.
wow. Still a lot of money. Really looking forward to your impressions / reviews, i.e. are they worth their money or not?
Seems there are not many fans of the track "Another Record", but I am one of them. Pretty cool song!
Then "Me and Sarah Jane" and "Man on the corner".
As for "Abacab" the song, my definite version is probably the Wembley 1987 recording.
For me, Anyway does what Lamia does, but much better.
I can't agree with that. I think both songs are equally strong. In my opinion, "The Lamia" is a bit better. However, they are both very good songs.
14 pts for "The Lamia" ...
I've never seen this before. I really enjoyed it. Great performance and an excellent band as well. Thank you for sharing.
I second that! Amazing footage ...
TTT
Domino
Brazilian
The best track did not end up on the album, which was Do the Neurotic ...
That is one of their better tracks and one on my favorites, worth 13 pts.
Very sad indeed and a bit too soon.
I remember trying to find his solo albums for a while., but gave up.
The votings for this track of the week are remarkable. 79% voted for "outstanding", the one person who gave only 13 points ("very good -") has the honour of being the miserable jerk who actively dislikes the song.
Just voted and decided to go with the flow to avoid conflicts
Just an outstanding track!
14 from me
song is very good, video is outstanding.
But - why the hell wasn't this played live more often?
Oh, what fun we had at that pre-internet time dealing with that "first six albums" statement.
LOL
I never noticed that. I am pretty sure I have those ads somewhere.
But hey - typical Genesis, isn't it?
I am also a Bandcamper and bought the 3 Disc Set with the Blu-ray (to play the Atmos mixes, I don't buy a lot physical copies these days ...)
A mix in my case:
Selling is my favorite when I look at all the albums and what they stand for.
Wind & Wuthering is the album I probably like the most (personal touch)
Duke is my favorite trio phase record.
I also like Abacab and We Can't Dance
It's not the most popular prog piece, isn't it? No wonder we see this spread of votes. It's also on an album where you find tracks like Firth Of Fifth and Cinema Show, which are simply out of this world. Maybe another reason why The Battle is less popular?
agreed.
For me, it was only worth 8 points. Compared to the other tracks on the album, it probably is the weak spot.
A friend received his copy early (yesterday, apparently), mine is also on the way. I am not over-excited but can't wait to hear the surround version in full glory
Just 8/15
Like many others, I never really could dig into this one. Too hectic, no real melody hookline etc. When Hackett played this it was a good chance to get something to drink ....
Red Rain, Mercy Street and In Your Eyes for me!
