I have changed my vote and replaced Playing for time with So much. That will surely change but it’s nice to review your own taste and Thebes’s it evolves!

Oh I wish I could have been there. Amazing Bill Bruford decided to perform as well

One of my favorite tracks from ATTWT and also one of Tony‘s finest contributions to the trio period albums, worth 13 pts.
-
I did (and I still do) enjoy this album a lot. It was among my favorite albums that year. Great melody, great atmosphere!
Worth 12 points!

This is not really my cup of tea. The chorus is too average for my ears. The arrangement is interesting but all in all this will not be my favorite on this record.

There are many sides ... brought me back to Hackett after I lost track for a while. In fact they say it was the start of his second solo career phase and that's absolutely true. There's something about this album that's unique and won't be heard on later ones. It feels light, fresh, melodic ... I think it's one of his best and the track in question is a great example what kind of songs Steve was once able to write. It's a magic I can't find on later albums.

That track really touches me. The older you are, the more you may appreciate this. And - I am happy Peter is still able to do simpler stuff. Wonderful, just wonderful!

One of the highlights from the IT sessions and worth 12 points.
That song would probaby have been on the album, had it come out a few years later (without vinyl restrictions).

I also saw the Dublin show. Not much to add, really. It was an amazing atmosphere, a great sound and I am very happy to have seen a couple of shows (more than I intended to) and to witness this special one in Dublin.
I do not take photos, I just sit (or stand) and enjoy. Hope he's coming back in 2024.

It varies
Right now it's The Court and Four Kinds of Horses. Playing for Time is my third.

The show stated rather unusual. Peter’s keyboard didn’t work and he went back to his main one to the first two tracks

Peter mentioned a couple of doctors in the audience yesterday and thanked them for their help when he was seriously ill (?) a couple of years ago. Never heard of that. But great they could help.
Yes, so obviously the rumors a while back were true then? Saying Peter was seriously sick ..,
Good to know they could help.

It's a great live track as well! I think when this gets more popular, it will be a crowd pleaser. American fans will also like it I am sure!
-
Has he mentioned Marina at all in band introductions in that she is sick?
He didn't! Which I found a bit strange. There's no problem at all when somebody is unwell.
On the other hand. Hardly anyone notices apart from the die-hard fans. So why mention a band member who is unwell and can't perform?

First set finished. Great show so far, no changes in the setlist (apart from the afore mentioned German Flood version)
-
Great question.
I think too Baby Man, Wild, even the final version of White Ashes would never been on an album as for everything pre 2012
Obviously the fact some of these tracks never appeared even on the huge "Float" collection, makes me leave a small hope.
Maybe there's a track which will be the 13th full moon
Path of fortune
I say this because I've already seen it appearing somewhere as title on https://genius.com/albums/Peter-gabriel/I-o for example. And they usually have released other titles before the official releasing, usually revealed truth.
But there are other stuff I'm wondering about. For example the track about aging he quotes often in the last years:
So much
About your assumption regarding the 13th full moon.
I know this title is being discussed bit has anybody really seen this in one of the videos? I checked this a couple of times and can't find the sequence.
Peter said anyway that there will be a surplus. So I won't be surprised in case he just continues ...

Back home and I am really impressed. Never ever would I have thought he'll do all (?) new songs from the new album and most of them are really good. as far as you can tell after one performance. I like that Peter is no more living in the past, he did enough shows and tours with legacy stuff. Now it's looking ahead again. Thanks!

On previous comments:
Yes, I hope they play Mercy Street, it's one of my all time PG favourites along with San Jacinto and Family Snapshot.
Also, regarding his last tour, Peter himself said they started to rehearse Supper's Ready for that tour , but it was abandoned.
I wonder why?
If this is his final tour (due to his age), is it such a long shot to think they may try it again given how highly he holds this (23 minute) song?
David
I actually hope he will do somewthing else. As much as I love Mercy Street, I hope for the unexpected. And for a lot of new songs. He did revisit the past on previous tours a lot anyway.

14/15pts
Always likes this one, especially the way Peter sings the verses. The acoustic 2021/22 version was also good.

An incredible piece of hard work. Many thanks for it. I am already looking forward to the next parts.

Thanks!
It seems like this was a very relaxed conversation. Interesting also the statements about Sound Of Contact and the hints about the story of the album.
And of course it would be a nice story if Nic Collins will really be in the live band.
