I am not an expert, when it comes to judge his solo work, as I only had his first three albums plus Genesis Revisited II. Maybe that is why my verdict on the new album is not as harsh as foxfeeder`s and Sredni`s. The album got some great tunes and arrangements and is definitely much more accessible, than some of his older stuff. I listened to the album several times now, and the more I listen to it, the more I like it.

Rael also sounds similar to the second syllable of Peter`s family name.

I have started watching The Marvelous Mrs Maisel on amazon prime. It is a serial created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who also created Gilmore Girls. Though the plot is completely different, you find quite a few parallels to GG. The music, the endless talking of the protagonists at top speed, etc. If you liked Gilmore Girls, you will probably like MMM as well, if you didn't, well, I don't know. The story kicks off in the fifties of the last century and describes the life of a young woman, who starts a career as a stand-up comedian out of nothing supported by Lenny Bruce (declaring a truce).
Great actors on there, especially Tony Shalhoub (Monk) and Marin Hinkle (Two And A Half Men).
Check it out....
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime. Takes place in 1958. The set and wardrobe are perfect for the time period. The storyline is about a Jewish wife who takes a shot at stand up comedy. Fabulous! Recommended.
Yes, very nice. My daughter is at home right now and we have returned to Gilmore Girls for a change. I also watch Black Sails, when I get the chance..

I have started watching the first season of Downton Abbey today. Very nice. I feel reminded of Upstairs Downstairs, which I loved watching, when I was a kid.

I am completely away from listening to lp-records or cds. All the music I have is on my 160 gigabyte iPod and on my Mac. When I play music from my Mac, I usually don't use extra equipment. When I use the iPod, I either use earphones or put the iPod on a Bose-Booster. I also started streaming albums via amazon prime recently and play that music directly from my iPad or Mac.
I also use a Bluetooth device from muvo (creative muvo 2) every now and then. I am still looking for a Bluetooth device that offers a great sound and stereo effect for my living room but haven't found anything useful, yet. Any advice would be welcome.

It is my favourite Genesis album, but I didn't get to know it until 1983. I have vivid memories of the time, when it came out, though. I was ten years old then and had just started my first term at grammar school. It was an intense time, because I got to know a lot of new friends and mates. I had a girl in my class, who was half Italian and who had moved from Berlin to her grandmother, because her parents couldn't take care of her for some reason. We had a very close relationship for the three years, she was there. It was something like what Steven Wilson describes in his song Perfect Life. She moved back to Berlin in 1976 and I lost touch and never heard of her again.

At the beginning of the nineties, I was a regular viewer of mtv. At that time, there was no internet and you seldom had the chance to see the artists you liked on tv. I enjoyed the music videos a lot. There are songs, where the video comes to my mind instantly, when I listen to them. Sledge Hammer by PG, Take On Me by A-Ha and Cry by Godley & Creme, etc.
A well made video can make a great song even more enjoyable. On the other hand, the best made video cannot lift a song, that is crap.

It is one of my favourite Genesis tracks. It always evokes emotions, that I cannot clearly describe, but which are absolutely positive. I feel similar about You Might Recall, although both tracks aren't really comparable.

The song had a lot of airplay on the radio, when it came out, so I am a bit over saturated. It is a nice song but nothing extraordinary. 10 points from me.

Anamor - Za Witrazem (2018) .....Poland
Neo/Symphonic.
Has very much an IQ and Pendragon sound to this album.
I am much more reminded of Satellite or Quidam.
