I've always assumed it to be the same man. I have his 1976 album, "Sunset Wading" which is an absolute gem, easily one of the best albums of that year, and that's saying something.

Sounds just like the original 1981 UK (and presumably everywhere else) single version, which could be also known as the "Ahmet Ertegunn thinks he knows best mix"! Utterly pointless extra drums thrown on top of it, because some guy in America thinks they should be. As Dr. John says, it ruins the song, and is seldom heard these days, even the "......Hits" album has the original album version on it. Is this really a remix? What's changed?

Looks like you missed a few, Christian

Ok, that's a decision then. Still, federico's question was perfectly reasonable if not knowing that.
-
That won't be possible, they will play the ATMOS Surround mix.
?
It's perfectly possible to do the light, dark, or any other mix they want in Atmos.

He mentioned ‘o/i’ as a potential follow-up project to ‘i/o’ at the London show, and I couldn’t tell whether he was joking or not.

"Days Of Future Passed - My Sojourn" - John Lodge's new recording of the Moody Blues album, with lots of reinterpretation a la Genesis Revisited 1, as opposed to just rerecording it a la GR 2. Features the late Graeme Edge and Jon Davison of Yes, streaming or downloading only at present, still awaiting details of UK CD availability.
Followed by "the Early Years" by Al Stewart, the US double version.

That could be a medley of its own: "The Cinema Of Slippermen"!

It appears that AI has more I than the people who are using it. WHY? would appear to be the question that should be asked about anyone bothering to do this with any song with any artist. Rude Word pointless!

Extra section in the intro.

A great song, though not my favourite off this album. Steve was the only person who really got to grips with the Stepp, I feel. Ah, the good old days, when you could always expect the unexpected off one of Steve's albums. 13 points.

I thought the thread title was just someone stating the obvious!

Is feminine less worthy than masculine? How are things back in 1850?

To be honest, I'm getting really bored of PG's antics here. I'm not sure if he thinks this whole album speculation thing and the full moon release schedule fiasco is funny, clever or a super-sophisticated marketing gimmick.
In any event, the novelty has well and truly worn off as far as I'm concerned.
But no matter how much this pisses me off (which is a lot), I know I can't help myself and I'm going to buy whatever surround sound versions finally emerge!
I couldn't agree more with this post, except the last bit, about buying it!

Sadly some tapes - including the 1969 demo of The Movement (or at least part of it) and the 1970 demo of Looking For Someone recorded for the Moody Blues label Threshold Records - could not be located for inclusion and as far as I know still remain elusive.
Threshold Records ended up being a division of Decca after 1976, and Decca in turn went under, and passed through hands until ending up in Universal's empire. As you may recall, they had a huge fire at their tape storage facility circa 2008, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were lost in that fire. Luckily, the Moodies albums were all at the studio they use in Italy, being remastered by Justin Hayward and Albert Parodi, so they have survived, as witnessed by subsequent releases of remixes of their 1st, 2nd and 4th classic line up albums.
There were also recordings of the first attempts of King Crimson, but they seem to have survived as Fripp had probably negotiated access to them for deluxe editions of ITCOTCK.
Incidentally, I have the 67-75 box set, complete with intact book, and I'm considering selling it, so if anyone is after a copy........

Well, that's good news. It'll force Steve H away from the "Wolflight Revisited revisited" format, hopefully, and Steve R's Ghosts of Pripyat was good, so here's hoping...........

It's good but overrated. I do enjoy the Yes-style instrumental ending, although it doesn't really go anywhere. The chorus I've never found particularly strong but it works well enough. Like Dr. John I have trouble with the lyrics. What exactly is the story here? A girl maliciously accuses a boy of rape? It's an odd thing to write about when actual rape and violence against women is far, far more common.
It does happen though, rare or not. We even had a case here in the UK recently where a girl smashed herself in the face with a hammer (There was CCTV of her buying it) to reinforce her case. As the song suggests, a jail term for an innocent man is no laughing matter!

Looks like one of those photos where someone's used the panoramic function, and ended up with a 2 headed dog!

Not scoring points or trying to be a smart arse, but the band was Quiet World and the album was 'The Road'
Good point, senior moment.
