I have never seen this before. Was wondering whether or not this is sung live, but I also think it is. Very powerful. The "band" is really hilarious!

That's an odd playlist ... but then again, which playlist would not be odd for somebody?
-
Similar to Abacab, but with better lyrics.
similar? I don't see that ...
The video is superb, the track itself is good, but not outstanding..
-
thx
saw the show in Frankfurt but this time it didn't really touch me. It was good, but not emotional. Perhaps a side effect of the Genesis farewell emotions?

Blood on the rooftops and Mad man moon.
From the later period, Living forever and Do the neurotic

I really hope they won't do anything involving "classical music" with the Genesis catalogue. That could only mean they take existing recordings and mix them with new classical, orchestral recordings
Hope he was referring to Tony B!

Hi everyone
After Genesis have called it a day, I wonder whether or not we will see Phil again as a solo artist. I understood he has retired from touring, but what about new music? Wouldn't it be great to get one more "old man's album"? What di you think?

What was interesting about that was the fact that Nic had never met Peter before.
why is that? Nic lives in North America, Peter in Bath.
Interesting interview, I think the comment about Peter leaving Genesis and never looking back, says it all.
exactly. Stop dreaming, it's only in our heads, not in theirs.
Great interview by the way, thanks for posting!

"Wonder" is a nice little track, kind of storytelling singing. Still listen to the album and I still like it.

So, this is the track
Gilmour's guitar makes it floyd-ish

Oh no! Such a terrible loss. R.I.P.
Wasn't aware of the AP connection and this track! Thanks for posting as well

A review about the Washington show is now available
It was written by a fan who lost interest after Duke and came back to the band as he got older.

Thanks for this wonderful perspective! Hope to see them soon as well

Saw a couple of videos on youtube. I must say, I kinda like Nad's voice, but on some of the stuff it's just not fitting, i.e. Afterglow. Ok, you can compare this to the current Genesis tour, which may not be fair, but perhaps Nad should reduce his high note expression faible from time to time

The album features a reworked track from the project "Harmony for elephants".
indeed it does - sounds slights better imo
Amanda also talked about this in the interview here:
-
Well ...
nice stuff!

I have added my own review to this site
https://www.genesis-news.com/c…info-and-review-s798.html
Let's discuss!
fair rating of the album. It ineed has its moments, but you tend to think "that's too much" on most of the tracks.

Oh dear. I don't know why he does this. He could've done this far better, i.e. "we are three nights in London and Genesis are three nights in Birmingham. Everybody enjoy!" or something like that.
-
both, Anthony and Daryl play the FoF solo in a different way compared to Steve. Personally, I do like Anthony's approach more - but as always that's just a matter of taste.
-
I heard the album twice and need some time, can’t say good or average right now but obviously Steve plays some wonderful guitar parts. Scorched Earth is a great song

For me, their best song is "The Day Before You Came", atmospheric, superb lyrics that tell you everything about her future by focusing on her past, pop songs don't really come any better.
interesting - same here. And there’s an awful cover version by Steven Wilson.
Coming back to the new tracks. I like them both, Don’t shut me down is my favorite
